What's corny about peace, love and understanding?

"We are like tenant farmers chopping down the fence around our house for fuel when we should be using Natures inexhaustible sources of energy — sun, wind and tide. ... I'd put my money on the sun and solar energy. What a source of power! I hope we don't have to wait until oil and coal run out before we tackle that."

The Neoconservative revolutionaries need perpetual war to further their quest for global dominance. They also need a war as a distraction from real domestic issues. You must sedate people with fear at every opportunity. Peace, love and understanding undermine their goals and are therefore UnAmerican.

However, the lies of senators while serious do not result in the death of 3,000 plus civilians in Afghanistan and 14,000 civilian deaths in Iraq (plus military wounded and dead).

As the election draws closer the war of words between the two parties is reaching an all time low. Fear, half-truths and downright lies are all fair game. The integrity of our political system declines every moment. No wonder people can't be bothered to vote.

I live in a democratic republic, I refuse to see it shift to a hegemonic one.

Since our little dispute with the French it's now called Liberty Toast. It goes well with Freedom Fries.
