Why do you care about politics?

Do you really think your vote is gonna change anything?
It doesn´t make a difference.

Of course if there was an exchange agreement ... all our ugly women for their fine women. You know ... something we could all vote on

it's easy to think that way, but if we all thought that way think about how things would turn out, so yes I do think it makes a difference and every single vote does count.

There have been plenty of local elections that have come down to single votes making the difference. I remember back in the mid 90's, an election in Connecticut for the US House came down to a handful of votes. And there have been instances where elections have been won by one vote.

Democracy is a delusion of the masses. Doesn´t matter who wins, rich and powerful people rule this world and they own you. The good thing is that it will never end. One day I will be there bouncing and making everyones life miserable with my new high standards.

V I really don't think you are serious with this question. Look at the 2000 elections. The entire country's election process hinged on the votes of a very few in Florida. It was so close that a scam could be run and not be busted. The more people that vote, the greater the numbers and thus the greater the spread. EACH and every vote does count. Even my non-Bush vote in farking Texas still counts. Sorta.

Poli-what?

You are right. America and some european nations have the best system. That was never decided by common people though.

Because I pay taxes and the government will be the most expensive thing I invest in over the course of my adult life.

"We are like tenant farmers chopping down the fence around our house for fuel when we should be using Natures inexhaustible sources of energy — sun, wind and tide. ... I'd put my money on the sun and solar energy. What a source of power! I hope we don't have to wait until oil and coal run out before we tackle that."

If you don't think one vote counts, all you have to do is look back at our 2000 election. The margin of victory does't get much smaller than that. One or two votes here and there made all the difference in the world. (Good thing we tossed out all those Gore votes when nobody was looking. )

Rules? You mean we have RULES for that???

well, when your brother is the governor of Florida it's pretty easy to manipulate things, right?

I guess that is why Bush was sooooooo confident that he would win Florida.

V,

Here in California, we did not like what our old governor (Gray Dufus) was doing, so we had a special election and had him kicked out of office. Now we have Ahnold (Schwartenegger).

The people spoke and it became the law of the land.

If we had no power, then we would be stuck with a Ted Kennedy or a John Kerry (rich guys) Oh my gosh V, maybe you are right ! ! !

No normal person in Massachesettes could vote those guys in. They must be controlling the voting system with their money.

Sarcasm intended ! !
