    The Grudge

Was anyone else scared shitless by this movie. I couldn't believe how damn freaky that was, there was even people that got up and left they were jumping so bad. If you like whores......and maybe a good horror movie to go with it check this one out. Damn, I'm still getting the creeps

grudge really was a scary movie. It's a fun kinda scary too, awesome scare factor, horrible plot though But I took a bathroom break during an important scene so I might have missed some plot. I would definitly recommend it for a good Halloween lets all scare ourselves shitless kinda movie.

it didn't take long before I hated those damn stairs

and the time the guy sees the Yoko ghost! Good stuff.

I thought it was great, I'd see it again real quick. The scariest part is any scene with Sarah Michelle Geller

scary as hell, but the plot was BAD!

part that scared the hell out of me was the very beginning when she was looking around the attic & you could see the ghost right behind her looking at her with her mouth open & not making a sound until the light was on her. AHHH!

I loved the Grudge - scared the snot out of me among other things.

the plot was non existent. For scene after scene you just watch people die until the very end where they give you a reason for why everyone died, but by then you don't care anymore- everyone's dead. Still, VERY scary, and I think that's what it was trying to do, not win Grammies or Oscars or whatever you win with movies, and in that respect it did it's job. I think it was much scarier than the Ring, but the Ring had much more story- even if it wasn't a good one in my opinion

Lets see, it was a copy of THE RING - and the movie itself sucked.

When the movie ended everyone went HUH? THATS IT?

Lame as shit. I will admit though, I still thought of that face, and how stupid people are to go crawling into strange places where they hear noises.

Yeah I thought the movie sucked royal monkey balls <Blahhhhhh>.
I seen more scary movies watching Rod Sterlings Night Gallery or Twilight Zone..
I thought there was no plot, wasn't scary, had a lousy ending and was boring as hell.

Now I'm going to see "Saw" tomorrow

You see a son male ghost, and the father - but the star was female (pictured above). Because apparently, dead bitches are the worst

As Perfect said, I thought the Ring was a much better movie. It was scary and had a plot. And I thought it was kewl when the girl came out of the TV set

They spent far more money marketing the movie than it cost to make the movie.

Female, and I agree with you that the one in the Ring was the scariest one I seen, until I saw this one.

Gotta admit that I thought more people would've liked it It's #1 in Canada, maybe we just have a higher intellect than you Yankees.

Going to see Saw in a couple of days, should be pretty damn decent. They won't let people in to see it without I.D. You know it's gonna be good if you have to be over 18 to see it

It's scary, but the plot is terrible. I couldn't figure it out. The detective goes on how "everyone who enters the house dies" Yet, he lives for quite a while & doesn't die until he goes to burn the house up.

Sarah Michelle Gellar is spared twice when the ghost easily had an opportunity to kill her. At the end, the thing shows up & again.. What's the point? Kill her already!

I understand that you can't kill off the star right away, but the story had way too many holes in it.

It's a fun movie. I know I'm reading too much into it...It's creepy & makes you jump out of your seat.. but it does not follow through at all.

Your'e forgetting his assistant who also entered the house, and the dude who sold the house to the American's at the start.

No mention of their deaths anywhere.

There isn't one specific ghost, more an energy taking the forms of the dead family (the kid kills several, the woman a few herself, and the man drowns the detective) and possibly the family cat. If you read the three sentences shown at the start of the film it becomes quite obvious. Even the detective reiterates the points of them during the film.

Anyhoo, the film is very thin on story, but very full on delivery. I don't spook easy at films, but i jumped twice during the film (particularly where she's talking away to her boyfriend and then notices the face in the window - i didn't see that coming at all, especially since there was no music-based tension) and i will now no longer come within 200ft of any small oriental children.

If anyone phones me and makes that noise i will most likely physically shit my pants.

I recommend everyone old enough goes to see 'Saw'. The story is fantastic, and just when you think you've got it sussed out, it twists on you. I do have some questions regarding that film also though, so it's not absolutely perfect.
