I am very introverted too. When I used to go out I would start drinking with my friends and sometimes just wonder off and take walks through the city just cruising through the night with a buzz. I would pass by the dope slingers, the whores, the midnight chess bums and just keep walking until my buzz would start to die then I would duck into the closest club or bar refill my head and start back the other way. Along the way I would stop and sit and just write in my notebook. My friends would tag along every now and then if their prospects for getting laid weren't as high for some reason when they came along it always turned into an adventure where we'd find some new bar or meet another roaming group of partiers.
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012
