You should work on those insults OD. They're pretty damn lame

I think most European countries hate Americans too. Maybe not so much the British.

Most countries that you pick at random on that atlas, I bet we are helping in some way.

But Luke, given that the maximum is 160, are you complaining that your test was invalid or are you claiming that you are in the .13% of the "gifted" population? Given how you completely misinterpreted the bogus data on the state political IQ distribution table presented previously as "fact", I am inclined to think you also misread your test result or are again inclined to lean toward being untruthful. To give you the benefit of the doubt on the latter condition I might offer that the "158" number was likely meant to indicate how much more you could improve.

Pssst, Luke, "it sucks to be you". But keep trying. Someday, even a moron can get "tails" to come up on a two-headed coin if he picks up the wrong coin on the retry.

Does anyone here actually believe IQ was a factor in this vote? Members from IM that show a wide range of probable IQ scores do not agree about Bush. The reasons for being pro or anti Bush vary and the higher the IQ seems to go the more thought out the reasoning is. ... yet the results are still split. I have seen some people here claim a Bush stance for moral reasons, but it would be hard to support that claim givin all the information we all have seen. We are in a war on false pretenses, yet Bush supporters have no issues with this. We are there so we might as well kick their asses seems to be the general consensus on Iraq. Morality is left aside.

We are allowing a leader that includes religion as a deciding factor when he mandates our laws to influence the futures of our children, yet that is not the way a democracy is designed to be run. Ethically speaking you cannot go agaisnt those who do not agree with your religious choices through legislation that excludes their rights to fair access to our benifits as a culture. Were you on the other side of that choice you would recognise the truth of this as a moral issue.

I guess what I am saying here is that IQ nor morality are the deciding factors for Bush getting elected regardless of the apparent stats. In the end self promotion and and personal needs were the core of what put the man in a second term. It is very easy to hide behind a popular facade ... especially when the statistics support that facade ... and cover up ones selfish motives for making choice.

Correction we are in a war because Saddam Hussein chose to be in a war. He could have avoided war by abiding by the UN resolutions and being responsive to our many diplomatic overtures. What some would call false pretenses others would call necessary. Irrespective of how one's rationalization mechanism works (whether moral based, ethics based, survival based, judgment based, racist based, religious based or just contrarian based) the truth of the matter is we are at war and must put the past behind us and move forward. Right or wrong, we now have a humanitarian obligation to get to a state of peace and stability and let the Iraqi's self determine through a process of democracy what is in their best interests. Few other country's in the history of the planet would be so gracious to a defeated people. Let the historians judge whether or not the ends justified the means but I am much more comfortable knowing that Hussein will be soon no more for this world. Besides who is to say what morality of the future will prevail and by which standard historians judge especially if none of us survive and humanity devolves to anarchy and terrorism? There are some in this forum that believe in social Darwinism and that is simply survival of the fittest. From that perspective it would be immoral to let the likes of Hussein pollute the world.

Psst. We are not in a Democracy and never have been. Welcome to "The New Republic". Which is it - Religion or Morals? The majority of the Republic seem to favor the notion of both.

    ...

Define Ethics? That is a fuzzy concept based on a standard that is rare in todays world(mind you I personally subscribe to it). Minimally it's not uniformly recognized or definable. This is the fallacy of a democratic process. The majority will always vote its own interest to the exclusion of the minority. There is a cultural war ongoing. You just do not like who is winning.

    ...
It is very easy to hide behind a popular facade ... especially when the statistics support that facade ... and cover up ones selfish motives for making choice.
And your point is? The people have spoken what game they want to play and it may very well be a game of hide-n-seek through the mechanism of moral rationalization. But that is a direct consequence of eroding the common morality through the process of liberal influence. Blame the liberals- they are the current minority.

Well thank you Luke. Unexpected compliment. It really sucks when you are indebted to return politeness lol.

It was really more like 6-8 months when everything stabilized. Losing the equivalent of 3 lbs of fat per week is really a statistical quirk since I was simultaniously replacing useless, metabolically inactive fat weight with metabolically active muscle and other lean tissue. This was a key strategy - to increse my metabolic load and up my base metabolism. When I reran the stats I think it was closer to 2.4 lbs/week fat loss. Lean tissue increases were not just muscle since it includes all beneficial mass such as greater bone density, superior circulation capacity and additional blood volume and fluid and hydration levels. There were also profound increases in things less able to directly measure - neural efficiency. This simply means I could focus more and produce more power per volume of muscle tissue than I could previously - in fact much more (guessing 25% average improvement to this effect alone). I literally had a full body transformation and looked like a different person that was 15 years younger than I did when I started. My strength gains went through the roof and I am now stronger in my later 40's (yeah old fart but can whip or outrun most of ya here lol) than at any time in my prior life. Had all manner of additional benefits too including darker hair, deeper voice, more confidence, smiled a lot more, super elevated libido and all around stamina, and all the aches and pains in back and hips vanished. Literally like being born as a new human being and it spills over into every aspect of your own life (social, intellectual, creative, artistic, philosophical, spiritual etc.).

The secret is fairly common sense but attributed to a number of things:
    1) Commitment and focus on making it happen
    2) Becoming an expert in nutrition and eating ultra clean 5 times per day
    3) Supplementing with natural foods and products to give myself every edge in the areas of: anti-ox, mineral and amino support, multi-species proteins, nutritional timing etc.)
    4) Lifting heavy with low reps (6 reps max) and lots of volume from 3 separate exercises per major muscle group on a 4 day rotation and cardio (only 20 minutes) or HIIT (12 minutes intense) on each and every day
    5) Reducing all stress except physiological stress (just decided to stop working and fired my boss)
    6) Getting lots of rest and deep sleep
    7) Using some natural techniques to force nitrogen syntheses such as post workout insulin boost with creatine and high quality proteins.
    8) Implicit in a lot of above is invoking multiple metabolic and energy pathways aerobic, anaerobic and others.

If I were to reduce that down to the common denominator it would be: 1) Commitment and Discipline, 2) Education of Nutrition and Physiology and eating/working out effectively and 3) Sleep/recovery and stress reduction.

Pepper, I am so hoping when Bush gets to start nominating replacements that Bork gets to bounce back. That will put new meaning to the term "borked". This would be major "justice" to get this intellectual giant in there. I am very uncomfortable with Clarence Thomas in the role of Chief Justice. He was only suppose to be there to balance out the liberal justices. He does not have the intellectual capacity to lead this nation's highest and most important legal position.

We all now know that Sadam Insane was in an indefensible position. He either declared to the world that he was lying about his ability to meet a military challenge and expose himself to defeat at the hands of the enemies he created, or continue on his road to destruction at our hands. Either way he was screwed and was bound to fall to the destiny of his own creation. Many people still try to use the weak posture that Bush had no actual knowledge of Saddam's WMD's and it has become the common solution to the deception ... "He ignored UN resolutions". Bush knew Saddam Insane was all rhetoric and posturing yet instead of informing us, he deceived us. He presented a false case to the nation to justify taking the actions his group deemed a requirement. No-one can come in after the fact and rewrite a lie as a truth regardless of how noble the the outcome may be perceived.

Morality is not a user defined concept. Ethics are not a fuzzy idealistic perspective dependent on one's station in life or military ability. We cannot change the ideas of right and wrong to fit our situation. Regardless of his language, skin color, or politics ... 1000 years from now a man of strong morality will say to kill another on false pretense is immoral.

OD I have come to like you despite your caustic streak. Your little "Psst" as though you're letting me in on a little secret on the condition of our country is not needed. But hey ... thanks anyway! At 44 years of age I've seen the country I was born into and grew up in as one of strong morals AND respect for the individual. While we have always had dark aspects of our democracy... slavery and racism to name a few ... we have evolved from them to a steadily higher level of respect for the rights of the individual. LBJ is considered a traitor by some hard core right wing whackos, yet he promoted and demanded a new level of equality for all Americans. Color was to be eliminated as a basis for decision of one's rights. That was democracy at work. A Texas redneck using phrases like "Colored people" as he advanced their cause. Would he have married a "colored person" or accepted his progeny's decision to marry a "colored person"? Nope. Yet he still advanced a people he considered less than acceptable because it was his job as our leader to do so. Most of our nation's leaders have made the grade in equal measure

We do live in a democratic republic ... all of us.

Psst ... A change from poor eating habits is a hard thing to make ... ... I'm glad you chose such a healthy and wise lifestyle decision ... well done
