    Jodi, Can I Eat This?

After reading the cookie thread in Diet & Nutrion recently, I must....well....ask this question:

    So....can I....?

    Hardee’s introduces 1,420-calorie burger

'Monster Thickburger' feasts on industry health crazeThe Associated Press
Updated: 9:26 a.m. ET Nov. 16, 2004ST. LOUIS - As many fast-food chains introduce healthier fare amid fears of being sued, Hardee’s is introducing a hamburger with 1,420 calories and 107 grams of fat.

St. Louis-based Hardee’s Food Systems Inc. on Monday rolled out its Monster Thickburger — two 1/3-pound slabs of Angus beef, four strips of bacon, three slices of cheese and mayonnaise on a buttered sesame seed bun. The sandwich alone sells for $5.49, $7.09 with fries and a soda.

Well, maybe on a bulk, if I cut out the fries and soda, it will be OK.

Hardees is a small pocket of reality that shows us a glimpe of what heaven is like. I love Hardees, it's the only fast food joint I'll eat at. Luckily the closest one is like an hour away so I never get to eat there, otherwise I would be a lard ass. I ate there at least 5 days a week when I was a kid. And that was before they turned into such a hospitable franchise. It's great going in there, great tasting food, good environment, quality food (I DO NOT see why people like McDonald's- aside from being bad for you, it TASTES Bad!), and get this- good service

anyway, you betcha I'd eat one. at least once.

    Hardee’s introduces 1,420-calorie burger
I got all excited when I saw this thread though. I thought it was saying that Hardee's was introducing one 420 calorie burger- not a 1,420 calorie burger- which isn't that bad for a fast food joint.

the calorie thing isn't so shocking. A regular cheeseburger at Ruby Tuesday's has 1000 calories. the 109 g of fat thing is whoa!

When I was a teen I would get two 1/3 pounders at the Downtown Cafe as Pre football game meals. The buns were thicker too so I don't see what the fuss is about this.

As long as it's a diet soda it cancells out the calories in the burger.

I used to get their colossal burger, which was 1/2 lbs of beef. I could eat it in one sitting, with fries and 2 Killians Red Drafts

is this true? It wouldn't surprise me. Like a decent calorie meal but with a regular soda would equal somewhere around a 1000 calorie burger with water
