Thread: Have you ever had a ghost encounter?

I actually had one experience that freaked me out. the wife and i were visiting my father-in-law in the Poconos. the house was built in the late 1800's. anyway the entire house has the old world fuses that if you blow a fuse you have to physically replace the broken fuse with a new one. anyway, the wife, i and our dog were watching tv and all of a sudden one whole side of the house goes completely black and a lamp on the other side of the house which was off goes on at the exact same time. at first i just thought a fuse blew. well after about 2 minutes the lights come back on and the dog starts to freak out. we go upstairs and the dog jumps on the bed and proceeds to crawl under the covers and is shaking uncontrollably and wouldn't come out. now normally i wouldn't think twice but from what i've read and understand animals have a much greater sense of things that humans and it freaked me out a bit and the wife was scared to death and will never spend another night there.

I've been dealing with ghost for the last decade!!

I had something really odd happen to me once, but I really would rather not say what it was......However, thinking of it gives me chills.....

no seriuos stories in here, so i'll post one. I was 14 and my grandfather had just passed away. I was spending the night at my grandparents house three days after he passed. They have a long hallway with a tall mirror posted on a door at the end of the hallway. Everyone else had already gone to bed. I decided to go to bed and began walking down the hallway to the bedroom I was crashing in. I looked up to see a shadow moving in the mirror. Naturally, I thought it was my own shadow, because I was walking down the hallway towards the mirror. I ignored it and kept walking. I then heard a faint noise , kind of like a sigh. That freaked me out and I stopped in my tracks. I was looking at the mirror which was about 20ft. away. I was not moving at all, completely still. The shadow which I thought was my reflection was not still. As I watched it, it shifted back and forth and then faded off towards the direction of my grandfathers old bedroom. My sister was sleeping in his old room at the time. Less than a minute after I saw that shadow move into the bedroom, my sister came out of the room crying her eyes out. The light on the nightstand beside the bed had came on by itself. Neither one of us has spent the night there since. I have no doubt that is was my grandfathers spirit, but the whole thing freaked us out.

After being in a darkroom alone listening to White Zombie records on acid nothing scares me.

Ok PreMier, you have two options:

1.You are going to this cozy little town called Eureka, Utah. You stay there for a night, do some EVPs, take some pictures and come back to tell us how it went.











It is supposed to be a ghost town with a lot of stories of murders and creepy stuff going on. Although it has 700 people living there.
You choose an empty building to stay for the night, go to the upstair room, light one candle, turn on the tape recorder and lie down. After a while something like this will show up, so you blow the candle, close your eyes and go to sleep.


2. You find a creepy place at SLC and do some EVPs as well. EVP stands for electronic voice phenomenon or ghosts saying "boooo" on tape. Surprisingly it works quite often. Ask Mudge.

Vieope did you find that via a search or something? I did experience that when I was 15 I believe, I used to live 2 blocks from several cemetaries. I never tried that experiment again, and I never used a Ouiji because of that experience. I used a fresh, brand new tape that I just opened from the shrink wrap.
