Yes, I don't doubt hussein would have used weapons if he had them, but this the crux, he didn't and he was so weakened after years of sanctions that he had no hope of ever getting them.

So why have we spent billions of pounds and dollars and thousands of lives on someone that wasn't and would never be a threat?

Give me a break. The inspectors hadn't been there in years. The sanctions did not bother him one bit. Show me one bit of proof where sanctions made him destroy one weapon. You can't do it because it didn't happen.

No, cats are a new secret coalition weapon. No gas won't get lower but that actually proves everyone who is against Bush right. Bush is not there for altruistic reasons, he is there for profit and control of a huge oil reserve. We have talked about peak oil, and as I recall you didn't believe there was going to be any real shortage soon. Prices will continue to climb as we get closer to the reality of the pending shortage. Take a real look at the charts on the problem. We are in the last stages of the better side of the problem, and will be in the crises within 5 years. Read about peak oil in layman's terms. More here and here. Read up on this for a little needed background on why we are really in Iraq.

Bush is not going to be able to meet the increasing demands of the VA because his "war" and his "tax-cuts" are getting a little too expensive. Our poor vet's already have to jump through too many hoops and wait too long just to be told they're either not eligible or only eligible for a small portion of their benefits, after Bush is done sinking us into eternal debtitude they'll have to jump through hoops backwards and blindfolded just for a nickel.

I remember it. I didn't answer because I was just too damn tired of all the arguing. As a matter of fact, I'm not even sure why I posted in this thread. It just gets old after a while. This used to be such a great site to come and relax on. You used to be able to get away from the real world and just enjoy other people's company here. Oh well, it's the way of the world I guess.







P.S. Don't mind me, I'm having a moment. Luckily I'm old enough that in five minutes or so I won't even remember it.

What troubles me is what idiot authorized the press to be inside with the marines in the middle of a mopping up operation?!!!! Everyone knows that's when its up close and personal and people get popped. Whoever let that reporter in and then let the film out to the international community should be thrown in the damn brig for life. Suck reporter did it ssolely for a career move. He knew it would incite division and outrage. The enemy will use that as propaganda over and over again to inflame more suicide Islamic holy hamburglers. That one dead Iraqi insurgent caught on TV will probably result in 200-300 more recruits and at least 20-30 more friendly deaths somewhere in the world.
