Did one of them yell "YEEHAW"?
Looks like they bagged a couple of buildings.
I hope they're up wind so the DU doesn't drift back on them.

Manlicon normally I'd say that I find your flying of the American flag upside down offensive. But since I already found you offensive prior to doing so I wont bother. I will however ask you to stop doing so, at the very least in honor of those that died for you to have the right to do so.

If I remember right you said your a USN vet? Correct? Please stop exhibiting the flag in such a way? You can make your points without doing so.

Thank you..............Rich

Rich,

If you take down your Avatar of the American flag with you standing with a gun, which I feel reflects the bully attitude of my nation, I'll take down my symbol of national distress that you find offensive.

These terrorist are using civilians for shields, they are booby trapping dead bodies, and faking they are dead, then when they get the chance they pop up and shoot our soldiers. Fuck them, it's kill or be killed. That soldier should get a medal for killing that piece of shit.

Manlicon the flag is at least upright and in a proud position. The avatar also represents the Americans who have served their country, including you and Dimaggio, often at great risk to themselves. Were both adults and we both know the difference between the two. For my own part the US flag flys in front of my house every day and I wear it on my person every day too. Even when not in uniform.

And I do so out of respect for those who have suffered and died so I can have so much. For the same reasons I show it in my avatar.

Make any points you want. Any American has the right to say what they want, most of all a military veteran. But I'm asking you to not show the flag like that. I kid a lot here but this one time I'm asking respectfully. And tho it may mean nothing to you I'd have great respect for you if you took it down and I'd never mention it again.

My comments about being offensive were inappropriate and I apologize for them....................take care...............Rich

me either

Personally, i don't feel one goddamn smidgen (if that's a word) safer that we are trying to overtake Fallujah.

What i do feel is sorrow and pain for the families of the 1,200 people who have served our country and died for a cause i feel is very unjustified.

Dg, you get a hardon by this? Come on, man.

Agreed.

I watched the video out of curiosity and found it interesting in that sense, but I don't like the "Yeah, LET'S FUCKING KILL SOME PEOPLE!!!" attitude people have about watching that shit. If the video showed a couple of our guys getting killed, you wouldn't be getting all excited about it. These are soldiers doing what they have to do, but I don't get the whole celebratory attitude over watching people get killed.

You know what, it is bad that people have to die. But it is the scumbags that have no feeling or meaning for life that they kill innocent people. So I have no bad feelings about blowing the hell out of them. Personally I think they should have leveled the place by aircraft, then went in and cleaned up dead bodies without any loss of our guys. Wheather or not you agree with what is going on, these guys are proud to be doing there jobs so you and others can bitch and I personally don't think that is right. You have a right to your opinion and I have a right to mine. But if somewhere in the past our guys hadn't stood up, we wouldn't have that option. Just think if you were unlucky enough to be in one of those countries. You wouldn't be voicing your opinion then. Food for thought. That is all.............carry on.

Food for thought? Well then, chew on this....
All the soldiers i know didn't even vote for Bush in this past election Perhaps they don't even agree with the conflict either.

And so i can bitch? Tell me why we're even in Iraq, first of all.

Secondly, Yes, i am thankful for the millions of American soldiers standing up and fighting in such wars WW2, and all the other JUSTIFIED conflicts of our great nation's history. But when we go into places where we have no business being so we can throw our weight around, i think that plain sucks.

Last I checked, 33 have died. If I had the choice I'd go and fight like hell for those guys! Many don't know what it is like to protect each others back and become dependant on partners. I've seen a buddy in another small town get taken out by a high power rifle over a domestic dispute. When the call came in, every officer in the county responed to help out. When bad guys take out a buddy, it's hell to pay!

Again I say, it doesn't matter what you think. Even the guys that didn't vote for Bush, took an oath to do their job, no questions asked. They know that going in. They can't bitch either, although I bet they don't.

This election included, military personnel vote about 80% Republican. Not trying to pick a fight, just mentioning a statistic.
