    Xbox Game Suggestions

I am finally giving in and buying my kids an Xbox for Christmas, I want to buy a couple of games to go along with it but I could do with some suggestions for games suitable for kids ages 10 and 8?
    Thanks.

"Barbie's Wild Pony Adventure" & "Disney Presents: Bambi's Wild Vengeance Adventure!"

Seriously, can't go wrong with Halo or Halo 2. (A bit violent though.)

Halo and the new Halo 2 well maybe it's not GREAT for kids that age, but these games are amazing. You'll get hooked on them too.

Also, the star wars games, there's more than one. i forget the names (if they're into star wars) -- the graphics are phenomenal.

    Spongebob

    Tony Hawk Underground

Lord of the Rings (i think there's more than one, not sure)

X-men and Spiderman (if they like those movies, the games are pretty cool too), there's also Shrek (i hear mixed reviews, but never played it), and I think they just came out or are coming out with a game based on the Incredibles movie.

Dance Dance Revolution (my personal favorite besides Splinter Cell) -- it requires the dance pad controller.

Goal Getter has some good suggestions.

You can't go wrong with SpongeBob when it's for kids. There's some new one from the movie that should looks pretty good

Tit recommends Spyro: Hero's Tale or Quest or Hero's something like that. You play a cute dragon collecting jewels, chasing sheep, and the like. It's good, clean fun. Tit gets every spyro game that comes out and the latest one has been pretty good, and will certainly appeal to the age group.

There's also Blinx. There's a more grown-uppy sequel that just came out (or is about to come out) but the first one I found at Wal-Mart for $5 and is along the same lines as Spyro. You're a cat that vacuums baddies and can control time. I've never played this one but it's suppose to be a decent platformer.

Thank you Crono. But tell me, did you have to search a while before coming up with the 3 gayest possible game suggestions? Or did they just come naturally to ya?

snowboarding games, extreme sports anything and racing games are fun. I do PS2 myself
and like Metal Gear Solid, Tomb Raider, Vagrant Story, the Bloody Roar games. the kids always steal my games so I'd say they usually like games targated for older age groups.

have you gotten online for H2 yet? man it is out of this world. you can also go to bungie's hompage and check out all of your up to date stats in how you are doing online. i think these two games are by far the best for xbox. even though i didn't like the ending of H2 (already defeated the game on heroic and now playing on legondary)

yeah.. i started a thread a while back talking about meeting up online & having Halo competition with IM members.. we should set one up one day if there are enough to join.

my xbox live subscription actually ends today.I haven't renewed because my last gamertag sucked, so I may create one as busylivin (if available). look for me. My mic broke, but will get a new one soon.

i still suck in multiplayer, don't have much time to play, but it's fun when i can.

it's for an 8 and 10 year old asshole

I'm not going to suggest Mortal Kombat or something!

which, I'll have you know, I own and really enjoy. Also playing Dead or Alive Ultimate. There's also Halo2 which I don't have yet cuz I don't have Xbox Live yet but someday when everyone are masters at it I'll be the newb that no one wants on their team.

I hardly need a search engine to come up with game suggestions. Btw, are we totally ruling out a Gamecube? Don't get me wrong, I love my Xbox more than my girlfriend, but for a younger audience just about 9 out of every 10 games is geared for a younger audience on the Gamecube. That doesn't mean they're bad, I love Pikmin and Harvest Moon as much as any good Shoot-em-up on the Xbox. Not to mention it'll probably take both kids just to hold the Xbox controller

If they're into Superheroes there's also a real good Spider-man 2 game and X-Men Legends which are probably age appropriate and fun for them.

    Not Grand Theft Auto

    The Incredibles, Harry Potter, Shrek2
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

It was pretty good. But the story was nowhere near Trigger in quality. I still have it around, somewhere.
