I owned pit bulls years ago and they were very loving family dogs. I got another dog recently a Rottie Doberman mix. At first I was a little afraid of him because he is only 2 n about 100 pounds and had been beaten very badly last summer, on his run in his own yard. It was really bad he even needed his jaw wired. I've had him 2 months now and he is the most sweet , gentle, funny dog. Great vid. I almost didn't dare watch it but I'm glad I did. The jerk that beat Angus is in jail for it right where he belongs.

I had Pits all my life and I Love them. Its a shame what people make these dogs go thru.

I have 2 right now and they are great.

That was such a moving video (you made a fatman cry on a friday >:P), it moved me alot cuz I am a owner of 3 Staffies (pit bulls), it takes the lowest level of human being to abuse animals in such a way. People know so little about the breed. IMO (biased) pitties are the greatest breed of dog ever; they instinctively love children, they love everyone they meet. Sometimes they can be a handful around other dogs but their good qualities far exceed that their bad rep.

Your dog loves you more than you'll ever know for adopting him out of an abusive enviroment. From the sounds of things, you saved the dogs life. The person responsible for the horrible things done to your dog will get what is coming to him in this lifetime or another. No bad deed goes unpunished!!

okay i need to thank you 1st n later find pics of Raven a Staffordshire n Beaureguard an American i moved in w my bf n his roomie they were jerry n deans dogs. when raven got pregnant i was so excited i said "were having baby put bills" lol. I got pick of the litter for tending the dogs n puppies. Named him Ralph.

Angus had a good home, the guy that beat him was on their property n Angus tried to initiate play.... I don't know the whole story but the cops in town that worked the case adore Angus and got that guy the toughest sentance they could. I got him because they have 6 ferrets, 8 or 10 cats n 2 wolf hybrids. After what happened he needed more attention. He is so beautiful. He nurses on stuffed animals because he was weaned too early. and at first he'd growl real soft if I touched his baby. It was scary but in like 3 weeks I knew he would never hurt anyone. I have 2 kids so had to take the toy despite my fear. He just looks sad so you'll give it back. Now he growls alot during play n I know it's just his voice. It's funny that he waited until I wasn't afraid to use it.

Scooby is such a pretty dog. I don't understand how come some people see an aggressive/cross dog when they see a pit bull, they look very friendly and almost clown like to me.

Sharing a life with my three staffies is an awesome experience. They are so lively and energetic and so much fun. My wife and I have ours spoiled, we basically have 3 50lb lap dogs.

i used to have jerry drop me, bogie,raven, n ralph off up by lake mead and we'd explore the desert and swim all day while he was at work. some of the best days ever. ralph was just a baby his 1st time there and i swear if i had swam across that lake he'd have followed.

My oldest dog also was weaned too early and nurses on stuffed animals, blankets, pillows, almost everything. I think it's the cutest thing. I'll try and catch her in the act and take a pic.

cool i need to get pics of angus. he killed his koala when we didn't take him with us to drop the kids at school 1 day. stuffing everywhere. he is really nice to real animals kittens, ferrets. other dogs he could kill w one bite he will let be aggressive w him he just is showing them he is no threat because he loves to play so much.

I went to a call a few months ago that involved gangstas selling drugs, and as it turned out, fighting dogs. On the scene was a pitbull who's physical description was so bad I think the English language isn't capable of describing it. The cuts,blood, and gouges all over his face were bad enough but the dog had been starved almost to death and looked like he had a broken hip. The mangey bastards had been forcing him to fight a huge Great Dane/Pit mix that was in very good condition.

I have seen some terrible things in the last 21 years but this ranked right up with the worst of them. We ran the pit right to animal services just so they could end his misery as quickly as possible. But first I went to an all night restaurant and bought him some food. Even after all the misery he'd been put thru by the human race he still showed me trust when I showed him some kindness. Ive never seen a dog in such bad condition.

And the gangstas who made his life a torment? What are their chances of going to jail over it? Slim to none!.............Rich

That sucks, they should do some time for their crimes.
What kind of person would do that.

I love dogs and pit bulls are not evil, we all know the problem is the bad owner. A poodle can have a bad owner as well but they don´t get the label them of evil because they can´t do a lot of destruction.

Today a teenager was attacked in NYC. The big apple has the "smart" plan to call pit bulls from now on of newyorker. The next time a dog takes your arm off, remember, it is a cute newyorker and not a evil pit bull.

You should have got the media involved, when brought out I'm sure more attention would be put into the case.

I almost slaughtered a guy for throwing a water bottle at one of my dogs who wouldn't stop barking at him, that dog only barks at people he senses something evil in, I swear.

Not all New Yorkers are that way; unfortunately we have a large amount of Pit bulls here so you’re bound to see a lot worse Pit-bull cases than in other places.

Let's not forget the New York media for trying to sell papers here and always put the story to print.

By the way I am also a cute New Yorker with 2 cute pits.

The media here is run out on "tormented dog story's". It would have to be an extremely slow news day for something like this to even hit the paper, hell murdered people don't even make it 1/2 the time. I am sorry to say but cruelty of this nature, by humans against dogs, happens here far,far to often. There was even once a time all we could charge one of these maggots with was "damage to property". Now at least we have a cruelty charge to put on them. Theres no way "getting the papers involved" would change anything. The only hope is if we get to the animals in time. And even then if they don't get adopted, and they probably wont if their pits, they get put down in short order.

I don't even like pits. Some of the females are sweet but I never met a male pit that wasn't a complete asshole around other dogs and I'd never allow one around a child. It doesn't matter however, no animal should be treated like that. From what Ive seen Pitbulls are victims of mans cruelty far,far in excess of whatever wrongs they do.

In my opinion there should be mandatory felony jail sentences, with 12" Bubba following you around the penitentiary, for anyone showing such cruelty to an animal...............Rich

Bogie got chased home by a tiny mean chihuahua one time.... he jumped on the car to get away from the little demon. it was really funny. I was walking him and he jumped so fast the leash went flying out of my hand and he ran home w that nut job dog on his heels n jumped on the car.
