Your ISP should have given you POP and SMTP names. This needs to be setup in your Outlook setting so it knows where to get your email.

    POP is Post office protocol
SMTP is Simple Mail Transfer protocol

It's not something you can create yourself but you need to get them from your ISP (Internet Service Provider) Until you have those you can't setup Outlook. Once you have your POP/SMTP I can easily walk you through it or your ISP can while you have them on the phone.

I was thinking of doing google for a few weeks, jut to get it out there, but only after I get it finished. I'm waiting on my sister to email my old webpage so it can just be swapped out. I have a friend here in Houston that does these for a living, just don't want to bug her tonight.

Who do you pay monthly for internet access? Tell me and I can find out your smtp and pop server addresses. Are you using the email account from your web-host (ie. yourname.fitweardesigns.com? Do you have an account setup in outlook already if so you can go to tools > email accounts > view or change existing accounts > next > highlight one of your accounts > click change > copy down the server info > hit cancel > tools > email accounts > add a new account > fill in the info > test settings and you're done

I found the smtp and pop server. I'll have to look at it more tomorrow. Its getting late and I am sleepy. I'll try what you have suggested.

I'm using Aplus.net as the web-host. so yes, it is as you stated above.

Would netscape be easier to set up? I have an old old Office 97 on here. Someone wanna send a newer??

Outlook 97 is not that bad, there is always Outlook Express too, or the horrible Qualcomm Eudora is free.
