Turning down something good in order to train...

Have you guys ever said "no" to something good so you could workout?

Tonite my cousin called and asked if i wanted to go to the UConn game. She had an extra seat right under the basket.

Without hesitation, and knowing i was lying to her, i said "thanks, but sorry, i have alot of things to do tonite".

The ONLY thing on my mind was i had to do calves, delts, bi's and abs. I didn't even think about missing my w.o. for one second. Granted, i went to UConn for 5 years, worked at Gample Pavillion, and saw many BBall games.

But still, Is this abnormal? Am i TOO into BB?

"Uhhhh, sorry i missed our wedding, hunny. My legs are lagging so i had to do squats".

This inspired me to write a remix of a song we all love....

I was gonna go on a date, but then i pumped iron. (Ewww-Ewwwww)
Now there's no chance of gettin' laid, because I pumped iron. (LAAA-DAH-DAH)
I found the pump is better than cummin', and i know why... WHYYY MAAAN?
    Because i pumped iron,
    Because i pumped iron,
    Because i pumped IIIIIroooon (LA-DEE-DAH-DAH-DAH-DAH)

Thanks, my name is FLEX, ladies and gentlemen, and i'll be here all week.
You're a funny guy, Sully, I like you. Dat's why I'm going to kill you lahst.

I recently turned down lakers tickets to go to the gym instead. If it was last years team, I would of definitely went. But this year, i think kobe is a little biatchh. Also, I always turn down happy hours at work, I'd rather be working out than being a drunk slob.

There's nothing wrong with having your training higher up on the priority list.

I was asked to be Bush's running mate in this past election, but said no because I knew it would conflict with my lifting schedule.

I've blown off weddings before because I knew if I went I would be hungover for several days and it would have fucked up my training schedule...
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.

I almost turned down watching tv last night, to go to the gym.

I'm with Max! Lifting is just like dieting, stick to a strict program and schedule but it is o.k. to stray every once in awhile. I used to miss things I really wanted to do so I could lift and all of a sudden I realized.........hey, I can just lift in the morning! I mean, passing on watching UCONN!

Dude, I once bought a more expensive airline ticket that left at the time which allowed me to hit the gym. Naturally, it was delayed and I couldn't work out at all.

I constantly find myself deciding whether or not to go to a certain class because I have to fit in lifting with other activities in the evening. I nearly always go to class, though. My availability for work while I have been at college has revolved around my lifting schedule. The time that I go back home during school vacations usually depends on what days the gym is closed here at Purdue.
