3000 anytime minutes for $65 a month including fees with T-Mobile.
Anyone have a better plan?

FCC has everything to do with your wireless number. I've been in the wireless industry since before any of the current acquisitinos. They have the final say in all tax processing for LNP (local number portablility), gps mandates and privacy rights. They set the ultimate guidlines for all final decisions.Originally Posted by LAM

Verizon Wireless announced yesterday that they are looking at the bid on Sprint PCS. If Verizon Wireless buys them, that would sabotage the competition making way for a 65 million customer base.Originally Posted by DFINEST

A very similar thing happened to one of my friends who uses Verizon and they realized the issue and took it off her bill.

IT IS A TOTAL RUMOR
The FCC Chairman says so. You can go register your number on the do not call but you dont need to.

it is not a rumor. for new wireless suscribers if you do not request to not to be listed in the directory your number can end up on it...Originally Posted by Jeeper

You are wrong. The wireless directory will be for people who wish to be located in the event you use your wireless number for business.

actually I'm not...the proposed plan is to either have the number unlisted, the number listed or the option for a message to be left for a charge. I've read a working draft from the CTIA on the 411 Wireless Directory...have you ?Originally Posted by shutupntra1n

Did you see the part that still makes it illegal to solicit to a cell phone. I am just going off of what the FCC chairman who is the head of everything related to communications is saying.Originally Posted by LAM

Who are these idiots that actually buy something from these telemarketers and help to keep it going? Has anyone here ever actually spent more than 5 seconds listening to that babble?

Well if it wasn't for the fact that my emails are confidential and I can't post them here... the directory for VZW customers will be optional. Same as a few years back when other wireless carriers instituted peoples names on caller ID service and VZW did it for a day and then stopped b/c of complaints![]()

BTW... the Sprint and Nextel merger was completed this morning. Final closure will be in the second quarter of 2005. Still only 35 million customers even with a merger

Well, I signed up for this on 12/15. Since then I have received 4 calls from 866/877 numbers. I had never received calls from those numbers before. When I pick up the phone, no one is on the other line. I have no idea if that is a coincidence or not but it is a pain in the balls picking up my phone to see an 877 number. WTF.
The numbers are 866-221-3434 and 877-729-3972. If I had a land line I would check them but I forgot to check them from work.
