Hero... even though it came out in 2002...

Bourne Supremecy was good even though I thought it would be gay.

I can't wait for Donnie Darko directors cut on DVD.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned The Passion, Million Dollar Baby, Kill Bill Vol. 2..... atleast that's what some critics think.

I have to say, I absolutely hated "The Passion." Was the most ridiculously violent thing I've ever seen, I didn't feel humbled one bit, just disgusted with the directors.

Rounder, Pulp Fiction, Good will hunting, Resevior Dogs, Hero
Those are the best movies I seen in 2004, I personaly think the movies made in 2004 sucked

I went to the theaters I think under five times this year. I hear you spitfire, some real bad movies along with raised prices doesn't make a good combination.

I don't get out to enough movies, but I liked most of the few that I saw.

    1. Motorcycle Diaries (find it and watch it)
    2. Collateral

I think I only saw three movies....... and flight of the phoenix was crap. nothing like the original. though it did have a couple great scenes. especially the one where Massive Attack's Angel is playing as background music.

The Passion was based on the truth. Sometimes it's violent. I personally was deeply moved by this movie. Now I don't cry at ALL at movies, but this made me tear up and I was just speechless at the end. All I could say was, "that was deep."

I don't see very many movies in the theater but two that I enjoyed were:
    National Treasure
Ocean's 12 - not as good as the original but a very good movie
My Carb Cycling Progress - you can't hide from the numbers.

    I agree, very good movies.

It's easy to pick the best of 2004, most were simply forgettable. Ones that do stand out though (in addition to those mentioned by Pepper):

    Shaun of the Dead
    Shrek 2
    Spider-man 2

And one that I didn't see until 2004:

    Bad Santa

Lastly, the movie I'm really hoping for:

Star Wars, Episode 3: The Passion of Jar-Jar: two full hours of Jar-Jar being brutally beaten and then violently killed.

If anything, you should be disgusted with the way they treated Jesus, not the directors.

Not true, there is actually very little written about the events, most of the movie was Mel Gibson's own speculation about what happened and that of course involved huge exageration.

Me and the gf thought the movie sucked too. It was more of a smut film than anything.
If god were suddenly condemned to live the life which he has inflicted on man, he would kill himself.
