I love Siberian Huskys, had one not to long ago.

I'm not sure what the hell the dog I have right now is, shes about a year old. Not really comparable to my old husky but I like her. I know shes definatly a mix but anybody know what breeds? Was thinking akida and maybe some lab..

Metal V, sorry for your loss.

I understand the love we have for our animal companions. One of my bullies tugboat got pneuomia this past weekend, and one of his lungs was not functioning properly, I thought I was going to lose him, I cried and cried, thank God he pulled through and is alot better now.

I have 5 bullies and they are all my babies

Thank you, cajunfit. Hoss was the only Bulldog I ever had. All I had before him were PitBulls and those are really my favorite breed. But Ive searched for The One Perfect Bulldog since the very first time I ever saw one. I was 5 years old, believe it or not.

Thank god your Tugboat pulled through. I do not wish that loss on anyone. I think Id rather die myself.

The loss of our first family pet was a big consideration. We all discussed it and know that one sad day, it will happen. But we came to the conclusion that all the good times will outweight the one tramatic one.

I have a big poster of my Vizsla over my desk, his name was Cayenne. On it is a poem I wrote the very moment I came home from ending his suffering, "yes I write poetry" It reads............

    "My beautiful Cayenne"

    On a wintry,windswept autumn day
In a golden field of grain
A golden dogs before my eyes
    My beautiful Cayenne

Like poetry we move as one
    No need is a command
For I am he , and he is I
    My beautiful Cayenne

He who said, "all of our best"
And, "none the sins of man"
No doubt once walked the golden fields
    With one like my Cayenne

I say goodby for now my Caye
In life our hunt must end
But with the tears also comes joy
For the eternity we will spend
Walking golden fields again , in a season without end
So just now for its one last "whoa"
    My beautiful Cayenne

    I really, really miss him..................Rich

But this past couple of months I have been paying more attention to what you write and it's pretty straight forward no bullshit deep stuff.
You have what most Americans lack, toughness....you remind me of John Wayne.
I am not joking nor what to sound like an ass kisser.

That's some good stuff there Rich, why can't you post more things in this manner?
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012
