Something like that happened to me once too...I was doing a set and all of the sudden I got this crazy ass feeling and I started to get all dizzy and almost blacked out. It wouldn't go away so I had to leave the gym. I had the worst headache ever for about 24 hours. This was during the summer, but it's never happened again. I wasn't sure if it was some type of panic/anxiety attack, dehydration, or just a migraine. But it sucked....

We'll... I have had it for about 5 days now. Whenever im feeling "axnious" i start to feel a bit of shortness of breath. When i exert myself it mutiplies itself, and I hyperventilate. Then if i exerted myself too much the attack comes and i have heart palpitations... its fun... it all goes away when i calm down though... i cant seem to get rid of it though... im shivering right now...

I have depression and sometimes it gets severe but it can´t compare to an anxiety attack, it happens for no reason as well and it is so ¨%##$% horrible.

Nope. It hits me at random times. This is the first time i got shortness of breath though. And it really sucks, because i can't exert myself too much in the gym.

I may be looking to take something.

Just reading this brings back that panicky feeling all over again. I went through about a year of pretty harsh anxiety attacks about 3 years ago, the shortness of breath and heart palpitations were the worst and as you mentioned they would go away when I finally calmed down... it's pretty hard to calm down though when you are struggling for oxygen and feel like you heart is gonna pop! I tried to ride them out but eventually had to go on meds for a time to keep them in check, only took the meds when I felt one coming on and eventually they stopped altogether... I know mine were stress related, at that time I had too much on my plate.
Hope they go away for you soon BigDyl.

    Thanks.

Yeah I was at the Ymca doing a heavy set of bent over rows with 315, and I tried to get an extra rep, then that was it. I had the shortness of breath, and i walked out of the room, and started trying to catch my breath, then when i couldnt catch it, i started thinking I was gonna die. Then the palpitations came, and I really thought I was dead. So I walked into the basketball court and layed down and sort of hyperventillated. I probably looked like I was having a seizure.

You could start the Cave Gymtm. It would be all dark and quiet, and no annoying people that hog the bench, so they can sit down and do concentration curls with 15 LB's, would want to come. It wouldn't be a very unsocial atmosphere, so most likely all of the chatty people try to start a converation about their family problems wouldn't come, because they like the light.

Sorry about your anxiety buddy. Definately see a Doc and get meds if he recommends it. It's not a small problem and it's not your fault you get anxiety. Hang in there big guy!
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain...

I don't really hide from social situations, but I'm not exactly the life of the party either. I'm just a little shy.

A doctor told me to take high levels of vit b. It really helps and is safe to use. I noticed a difference within half an hour. it used to rip me apart during my university finals. hope this helps.
