The judge did that backwards ... give the kid the 5 mil and the X the 1 mil ... just to keep her outta the kid's stash.
Was she entitled? No F'n way. It would be interesting to see just how far she could stretch that measly 1 mil though. There was a time when 1,000,000 was a LOT of money. It's not any more. Buy a hummer, and nice house, fill it with good stuff and you're down to half a mil max ... prob'ly less. Now lay on your ass (since you're rich and all) and loan money to all the new good friends and favorite relatives that spring up like flies on fresh cow pie and see how many more MONTHS the lil' 1,000,000 lasts.
When ya get down too it ... it's a shame he couldn't give her only the 1 mil and watch the havoc as her life goes ta shit in a year or so ...
