    Define successful.

One of our bros here played for Dio. I believe his name is Mikhal. I've been trying to audition for Ozzy but............ yeah that would make me unsuccessful.

    LOL. Good one.

Yeah I used to knew plenty of people like that when I used to work at Guitar Center. But my favorites were the ones who heard me playing Yngwie and Randy type runs and said "I dont believe in solos, they have no soul".

Yeah right, you bastiche......... its only because you CANT!!!

Ha, I went out one day and blew $400 on a classic Fender Stratocaster, an amp and some other accessories because I wanted to teach myself to play. Ive played the damn thing probably twice. Actually if anyone wants to purchase the whole package PM me with an offer, and I can show you pics and shit.

Sorry. 400 dollars does not buy you a REAL Classic Fender Strat.

I used to sell them for over 2000 each. I could be wrong, though. I hope I am. 400 is about what those boat paddles are worth. But please dont take that personaly. Please. To each his own, right?

I didn't know there were two different kinds of classic. I just meant I have a regular looking one without any crazy designs or anything. It's this one, but not left handed. I should have said standard series, not classic. my bad

gococks, does your guitar say "squire" on the headstock? How about "mexico" anywhere on the neck and or body? What does the chrome plate on the back of the body where the neck joins say?

If it says "squire" its basicaly a more affordable line of the Stratocasters. I think they play every bit as good as the real things myself. Feel wise, that is. They have different electronics and hardware, though so they cannot and will not sound the same to a real enthousiast. But Ive never known anyone to be able to tell the difference in a live situation A controled situation, maybe. But not live. Lotsa people play them here. And if you got that PLUS an amp for 400 bucks, thats a HELL of a deal.

Now if its a "Mexican" strat, its probably worth a little more. I sold them but I actually know very little about the whole Fender line because I absolutely despise Fender.

If you want anywhere near 400, Id say someone that wants a good deal should jump on it. Thats outstanding. Id take it but all I play is Jackson Vs, Rhoads, and other Vs. I have several, including an old 80s Ibanez Destroyer. I cant play "round" guitars.

Have to get a close up of your headstock. A picture could be any one of their line, no matter the color. Or a close up of the chrome plate behind the neck.

And if it has a rosewood neck like that one does...... , right on!!

I wish I knew how to play the damn thing. I was just listening to some Allman Brothers one day and decided I was going to become the next Gregg Allman, went out and bought it and probably played it twice.

Took me years to learn, bro. If I can do it, anyone can because I learned by watching the hands of my favorite players and also the local guys here. I cant understand music or even tablature, hardly. Tried lessons but I could not understand. But I can play a lot of old 80s and some of today's stuff note for note now. Dont give up if you really dont want to.

When I play it frees my soul, so yeah I'm successful.
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012
