Using vacation time to aid Tsunami disaster.
Well, I've taken a big step to go help my homeland area. ((Grew up in Malaysia, Thailand) I'm going to use my two week vacation time and through Doctor's without Borders will be going back to Thailand (Last time I was there I was 11 years old). I'm hauling a big case of antibiotics although all the other materials will be supplied through the organization. I've sadly forgotten all my Thai but I still speak chinese if any of them speak chinese. I'll be boning up on my infectious diseases and minor surgical procedures. I'm bringing a collegue who is a vascular surgeon with me. I may take pictures and post them when I come back. I think it will both be the most horrifying and rewarding time of my career. I'm leaving in two days. Wish me luck.
