Stupid question about MP3s

Exqueeze me for being real tecnological challenged but what do you need to do to download an MP3 to an MP3 player? I have received a c.d./MP3 player for X-Mas and I don't know how the hell to use the MP3 part of it! Anyone wanna help out a gal who is not real techy savvy?

you need to burn the songs you have on your computer to a blank CD.
Then all you need to do is play it in your MP3 cd player like a regular cd.

How many songs can it hold? Do you need a regular blank disk? Or is it a special blank disk you need to buy? Is their a special burning software do you need to get?

Here's a site to get free software so you can "rip" a Mp3cd. Just click the "Free download" button and you're in. Have you downloaded any music yet?

LOL it's the way things are done these days. Especially now that RIAA has had their butts kicked in court ...

Anyway get a P2P (a program for a Peer 2 Peer connection) of your choice and have at it. If you have a bunch of CD's yo can also copy stuff from there to an Mp3cd. The deal is that the Mp3cd holds much more music than a normal CD.

Have fun.

This is some kick-ass info. Thanks! I'll have more questions if I can come up with more.

U just use a regular blank cd.

One cd of mp3's could hold about 10 albums or say 100-150 songs.

Nero is a good program for that.

Assuming 5 megs per songs (or so), about 10 hours worth.

Sounds reasonable if you have a good enough quality MP3 player so you can have the MP3 software to have forever. You know what I mean?
