Where was she? I missed it.
But when you disarm them, you at once offend them by showing that you distrust them, either for cowardice or for want of loyalty, and either of these opinions breeds hatred against you.

I am still emotionally exhausted from my stint in Thailand (I was stationed up in Northern Thailand where not only did I treat Tsunami victims but also Burmese refugees who have been brutally treated by the current government dictatorship). So it's hard to talk about it right now. I had to bathe in the ocean and pretty gave all my money, valuables away to these poor folks and lived off peanut crackers the whole time. Malnutrition and disease is making their way into these refugee camps with a vengance and it tore my heart out to see children who reminded me of my little Samantha suffering. I pretty much worked day and night, catching cat naps here and there since I was only going to be there for two weeks. (Reminds me of residency). I had pictures taken with my digital camera but it got stolen (not that I care). I saw alot of dehydration, gangrene, parasitemia, aspiration pneumonia and infectious diarrhea. My surgical counterpart was preforming quite a few limb sparing revascularization procedures and basic abcess drainage and treatment. I'm just glad to be back home with my three year old daughter and husband. I missed them terribly
