HAve the same problem with my PS 2. Can get it to work over the SS system, only the rgular TV. Want to shoot and box in surround sound as well as play DVDs on the PS2 in SS
Hey folks,
Just got a brand spanking new home theater system for my 30th birthday - Phillips 6050D - and I have it hooked up but since I have so many toys I'm having trouble putting all of them together. Got the sound working when there is a DVD in, but not when the VCR is working - I think I need extra auxiliary connector cable for that. I also have a PS2 that I can get the sound working on but no video - there doesn't seem to be a connector for an alternate video source.
Do I need to get one of those boxes that allows you to plug everything into it cable wise and then switch between sources? I am not experience with this stuff but I'm not totally clueless.
Conversely, does anyone know a forum where they discuss this type of stuff?
Any help is really appreciated.
Today I can do what others will not so that tomorrow I will do what others cannot.
The difference between winners and losers is that winners do things that losers don't want to do.

THAT WHICH DOES NOT KILL ME, CERTAINLY MUST MAKE ME STRONGER

I would get an A/V switcher they have some that are automatic/manual and some with a remote. I'd get one with a set of inputs in the front as well as the back so you could have easy access. I was lucky that my vcr had inputs in the front so I didn't have to buy a switch.
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012
Dod you have optical? Normally that is what you hook up your DVD player up to the receiver with ...
