    Montreal

Can anyone recommend a decent hotel in Montreal. The closer to St. Catherine Street the better! Pls help.

    Thanks!

I have stayed at the Sheraton several times. It's a block off St Catherine's and two blocks from Crescent Street. Very good location.

Been to Montreal twice! Definitely a good time! Just never stayed downtown. Trying to be within walking distance of the fun.

The Sheraton is a pretty good walk from there. I'd say a couple of miles. Just hop on the metro.

Checked it out and its a bit pricey for us. Dont want to use up stripper and beer money on accomodations. We're looking more for a Holiday Inn style joint.

Girlfriend is going to S. America and recommended that I take a trip somewhere with my buddy.

It's pretty amazing where a $20 tip will get you seated in a crowded strip bar.

The new W Hotel is great. I also recommend the Ritz-Carlton or the Hotel Vogue. None of these are too cheap, however, but I go for business.

The Best Western Europa is not too bad, and it is one of the cheaper ones. It is like 1/2 a block from St Catherine, near Crescent.
If sense were common, everyone would have it.
