Fucked Up - NY State Shooting

You guys see this? Some schmuck opened fire in Best Buy in a mall in New York State.

Shit though, he only hit one guy, who wasnt even the target of the attack. He needs some more practice.

This guy needs a role model.

Where exacly did the shooting take place?

Man can now fly through the air like a bird , swim beneath the ocean like a fish and burrow under the ground like a mole , and if he could only walk the earth like a man......this would truly be paradise.http://www.mwscomp.com/movies/grail/...s/n_sr-not.jpg

What do expect in a state with some of the most toughest gun control and no concealed carry law. Only criminals have guns.

What pisse me off is the article says it was an assault rifle, but then says they don't know what kind of gun it was.

Criminalize guns, and only criminals will have guns.

crap like this maybe wouldn't happen if the guy thought a bunch of other people in there were armed , but it'd be nice to require gun owners to take a safety course like hunters have to here. good idea? no?

I agree. What kind of thug would start shooting thinking he might get shot? Most people dont carry, and he was betting on that. Situation woulda been much better if someone opened up on him when he started.

We require courses here in CT to carry concealed, no one has a problem with it.

I dont agree with that at all. The last thing you need is for another person to start shooting in a crowed area. Also people that do this stuff are crazy i doubt the fact that other people carrying guns would of detered him at all.

Indeed. The threat of death, esp before achieving your fucked up objective never detours crime.

If you wanted to shoot someone, would you be detoured by the threat of someone killing you the second you pulled a gun? Of course not, that would make sense!

I was laughing about this earlier

Edited to add:

Cop's reply:
"We're not saying specifically because we don't have that information at this time."

So here's my question, if they don't know what the !@#$ it was, how do they 'know' it was an "Assault type weapon."
Also Edited to add: Just so my last post isnt mistaken as one from a one sided moron, I do realize there would be problems in such a situation as well. Thanks to stupid people, but it would happen.. Imagine..
Shooter walks into store.. pulls gun.. two people behind him see gun, pull their guns, two people in front of him see the three people with guns, pull their guns.. WHAM we have a big problem!

Exactly @ stupid people.
Granted, in my scenario, the two people behind him should yell something along the lines of,"stop" or,"freeze." before the people in front of him even had time to fully process why there were 3 people in front of them weilding firearms..

Also for note, part of that gun course would(or- should) include the fact that you really shouldnt try to pull a gun while someone already has theirs out aiming at you.. so yes, with a little (un)common sense, there would be no real incident.

I'm comfortable with my 380 and have been playing with various firearms since I was a lil kid. I was on the rifle team at MSU and normally hit what I aim at. Some freak of nature whips out his weapon of choice and starts shooting. I whip out my HK4 and he's dead or workin' on it with a couple of chest wounds sucking air. After the freak drops and I am sure the threat to my family is over I clear and holster my weapon ... ... the risk is already there from the whacko. Action is all that stops these guys.

"The Lone Gunman" ran outta ammo and got tackled with only one person injured ... his aim obviously sucked. Had he been a Whitman or his equal there would have been a tragedy unless someone intervened. Here in Texas we as citizens still have that duty and respect it.
