Strip Club DJ Accuses Kid Rock Of Assault

Metro Police are searching for musician Kid Rock who was accused of assaulting a DJ at a Nashville strip club early Wednesday morning.

An arrest warrant was issued for Robert Ritchie, 34, who’s better known as rock singer Kid Rock.

A scuffle broke out at Christie’s Cabaret, located on 8th Avenue South, between Kid Rock and the club’s DJ around 3 a.m. over the music the DJ was playing, police said.

The DJ, Jay Campos, was punched in the face, police said. He had a red mark on his face and his glasses were broken.

Kid Rock was in town to attend the funeral services of Merle Kilgore. Kid Rock performed at the funeral.

Kinda like parents who take their kids over to see Michael Jackson and then "slip out" for a few hours. If you dont have what it takes to make it yourself, use the legal system to screw over somebody who does.

*Note - I'm not in any way saying that Jackson isnt guilty, IMO he probably is... just what kind of parents allow their kids to go chill with him after his record?

Oh, I don't think Kid Rock "sucks" per say but he sure as hell should know better than to go swinging punches in a public club.

Secondly, I can see the "kid" actually beating the shit out of a DJ for playing shitty music. No surprise there at all.

Really? I always thought he came from more "humble" origins. regardless, he's earned himself a pretty rich lifestyle through his music. It can be argued that no one handed him his success on a silver platter. Regardless of anyone's opinion of his music style and format, he's a classic success story in his chosen field.

derik there are so many internet radio stations with non-mainstream stuff. I agree with you in concept ... but the Kid is still the man. His music is only so-so but his aproach to life is full throtle.

Now some Dream Theater is a better way to spend your time ... but the Kid is OK on the radio as I roll down the road.
