I didn't mean to sound argumentative Eggs ... not to you anyway. And hey I've never done a google on this or looked into it at all therfore I can only go on my experiences. So ... Eggs either you are the worlds best liar and did indeed set up all those web sites yourself and/or were in cahoots with all the people that did set 'em up so that you and they could propagate yours and their cover stories so ya'll can get drunk and do stupid shit ... or I was wrong.

Or ... and I'm really leaning this way ... MOST people that make that claim are full of shit and are using the story to cover their tracks and we are both right. Eggs I worked clubs and tit bars in LA for a several years and had that BS thrown around sooooo many times I got tired of hearing it. After being the guy that had bail money, never acted judgmental, and got people home when he or she was too thrashed to drive I became the guy people confided in. When all was said and done "I was too drunk to remember" was always a bullshit cover story in the end.

Tooooo many people (getting back on topic) use getting a buzz as an excuse to act the fool or screw people over. "Don't mind him he's just drunk ... " is lame. We are all responsible for our actions no matter what state of mind we are in and claiming a blackout is no excuse for doing disrespectful or stupid shit to people. It is just lame.

You had issues and cut your drinking as the responsible way of handling said issues ... so did I. (off topic again sorry)Been drug and alcohol free since 1996. Mostly. New years or an occasional birthday celebration and such will get me to burn one or do a shot or 10 but that is a once or twice a year deal only. No other substances of any kind at all ever.

Anyway good job on all those links ... you're a genius at creating and falsifying web sites and back dating them. You got mad skills bro ...

I believe that people abuse the "I blacked out thing" too, and its pretty lame.

People indeed should be responsible for themselves 100% of the time, even when drunk or drugged up... excuses suck ass, and they dont make the people hurt feel better. Especially those that are physically damaged through it.

I did some bartending too, so I know exactly where you're coming from. I'm not sure what causes it, its definitely the brains inability to store information, but I dont know why some people are more affected by it that others.

Regardless, good job on giving up the alcohol... most people would spend their time making up excuses and not changing

Where is everyones self control?? You drink till you can't remember? You are still responsible for your actions. You can't tell a judge you didn't know you killed someone with your car driving drunk and expect not to go to jail. You are still going!! And I have never been that way. I always remember the night before. I just stop before I get that bad. And if you can't quit, you are right......you never need to drink. I think most use it as an excuse also.

Maybe some people do use it as an excuse but i know alot of my friends suffer it because when you speak to them in the morning they have no recollection of an event that happend the night before. Maybe its nots so common for people in the u.s, there isnt so much of a drinking culture as there is in the u.k and europe.

wtf Rich, are you some kinda hick? That makes about as much sense as people who enjoy getting a big shit on the chest.
