    It's nice to see that the FDA is looking out for us

    I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.

    I'll bet you anything those 10 advisors were paid handsomely for that. This whole "situation reversal" with those medications has to be the result of some heavy lobbying on the behalf of Pfizer and Merck, too.

    another thing is that most of the top level people at the FDA go work for pharmacutical companies once they leave the FDA. talk about a corrupt industry.

    Some time ago the FDA stopped being 100% funded by the taxpayers, and they switched to being able to accept funds (I think there is a $100k ceiling) to speed up the drug approval process.

    So the organization set out to protect us, stopped doing that, so now the FDA setup an external organization with FDA employees to supposedly help do what they were supposed to do in the first place. Some employees claimed to be stifled when they spoke up about safety risks about certain medications on the market or about to go to market.
