    Most IMPORTANT to Bodybuilding

I'm tired of reading that other thread where people are saying diet and attitude etc. are more important than training itself. You're NOT a BB unless your doing some kinda resistance exercize in the first place.

With that said, NOW you guys can post what you think is the most important aspect(s) of BB.

Personally, i think they're all pretty much intertwined, but put them in order, 1-4, with 1 being the most important and 4 the least.

    1. Mental attitude AND work ethic (combined)
    2. Training
    3. Diet
    4. Genetics

    1. Personally i believe attitude is #1. I'm past where i'm so enthused to train that newbie BB's get, and to the point where my success is ALL about attitude.
I edited this and combined work ethic and attitude, b/c i think they are two of the same thing. How hard/consistent/proper etc. you train makes the ENTIRE difference while in the gym. That's why you see guys in the gym who look the same, use the same shitty form with the same weights on the same exercizes for years. This includes having the proper mental mindset.

    2. Training comes in at #2, b/c you may have the PERFECT diet, but you AINT growing (bigger or leaner) w/o training. But this includes proper, hard and consistent training that come from #1 and #2, as well as a proper diet.

    3. With the first 2 in order, anyone can "outsmart" their genetics and get bigger or leaner with the proper diet.

    4. Genetics is last b/c i believe, regardless of genetics, with the first 4 that ANYONE can succeed. Not saying ANYone can become a pro, as we know MOST can't. But ANYONE can succeed at BB with the first 4, regardless of genetics.

i know that's probably pretty confusing, but THIS is the proper thread to order the importance in, cuz you ain't a BB w/o the training, folks
You're a funny guy, Sully, I like you. Dat's why I'm going to kill you lahst.

Yep... couldn't vote on the last thread because it takes a combination of all that you have stated Flex.

Sorry, I think you've got #2 and #3 backwards. Let's equate this to an automobile. You've got the gas pedal and the steering wheel. You can mash that gas pedal all the way to the floor and go like a bat out of hell but, what if you're going in the wrong direction? I think the steering wheel (diet) has to have you pointed in the right direction first. Then the gas pedal (exercise) can help you get there faster.
Rules? You mean we have RULES for that???

damn all this time I thought it was those empty jugs of whey and the post-squat day "hold the edge of the toilet and gently lower my ass to the seat technique" that made me a bodybuilder.

Oh REALLY??? Well, that's gonna be a hell of a surprise to the zillions of folks who've been busting their asses in the gym for a few decades. Just out of curiosity, where's that law written? That's one I'd really like to see.

Thats just what P stated.. It does have some sence to it though. If you say to someone that your a BB, they always ask if you compete.

Yeah? So? They always ask how much you bench too, so what? If I say I don't do bench presses, does that mean I don't really lift weights? Just because some ignorant people who don't know anything about our sport ask a dumb question, does that mean that question has anything to do with our sport? (Hint: the answer is no. )

I compete against gravity every time I lift, hence my title ANTI-GRAVITY WARRIOR.
