Its official: I don't know pop culture ledgends!

As some of you know, I went to Surprise yesturday, (2/27) with my dad and sister, Jessica to a baseball game feautring the ledgends of The American league and National League. Now may I mention I don't know anyone in both teams. So I was completely oblivious. When we arrived at the stadium, my dad let me and my sister loose so we could get autographs on my sister's bat and pictures while my dad looks at the card show. About 1 hour later, Jessica and I were scarfing down some hot dogs untill this elderly African American gentleman in a L.A. Dodgers jersey came up to us. He asked us where we got the neat bat. And so we told him and we conversed with him for a while. And I asked him if he could take a pic with Jessica and sign her bat. So I took out my dad's digital camra and took a picture. Finaly, we went to dad and showed him what we got. I rambled on and on about the players who signed the bat, "We got Bob Lacy from Oakland A's, Sisqo somthin from The Whitesox, Ken whats his name, and some dude named Charlie Pride."

my dad looked like he stared into the face of death. He asked me to show him the picture that he took with Jessica. And the man in the pic with my sister was country music ledgend, Charlie Pride. My dad looked like he was gonna completely piss his pants! So he was looking for him the whole damn afternoon at the stadium with Jessica and I trailing completly behind. And finaly, I got my dad to take a picture with him with his idol. And after he calmed down, he explained to me who he is.

Sheesh! I have to learn more about the old folk in pop culture. I might learn somthin.

I've met lots of baseball players, like Nolan Ryan and Pudge Rodriguez, but I've never met a non-sports celebrity.

Oh yeah, and I met Ronnie Coleman once, too. But once again, no non-sports celebs.

Ric Flair lives a few streets down from my parents in Charlotte, NC. And back in the 70's my dad lived in Buffalo, NY and one day got his car stuck in the snow, and OJ Simpson and another lineman helped him push it out. Thank god OJ wasn't hungry for blood that day.

I was in L.A a few years ago and was eating at a fairly expensive resturant, and I noticed Mr.T was sitting a few tables away. After he was finished I went up and said: "'Sorry, I was wondering if you coul--'" He cut me off and replied:"'Never start a sentence with sorry'". So I again blurted out sorry and he started laughing and said he was just kidding(phew) I then got his autograph talked to him for a moment then he left.
Man can now fly through the air like a bird , swim beneath the ocean like a fish and burrow under the ground like a mole , and if he could only walk the earth like a man......this would truly be paradise.http://www.mwscomp.com/movies/grail/...s/n_sr-not.jpg

I've met a few TV stars (including Walter Koenig, who's a very nice guy). I met Lou Ferrigno at the debut of the his movie The Cage.

I was also threatened by Eddie Murphy's body guards at the premier of RAW. Does that count?
So many cries of inequality stem from one of group
of people doing little or nothing and then bitching
about another group that actually does something
    to improve their lives.

Rented a Ferrari to Flex Wheeler, my best friends mother married Lee Labradas father-in-law so I got to meet him twice at his home, went to Chuck Norris' ranch, talked to Nicholas Cage on a Harley while his buddy got a ticket for riding barefoot. Rented a couple scooters to Tyson Beckford, faked an interview (to find out where the after party was) with the singer from Sprung Monkey when he sat next to me at a bar during a break between their show. I've been to parties with famous surfers, musicians and actors/actresses. For some reason you meet alot of them out here.
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

I'd would have joked back and said "Um, I just wanted to know if I could borrow your salt shaker."

I've met former D-back Matt Williams. And I met a few WWE superstars like Shawn Michaels, Mick Foley, and Undertaker.
