    Banned at Walmart...

You will not be able to buy it at Walmart because it is banned from all their stores but George Carlin the comedian has a new book out you might want to borrow from the library:

WHEN WILL JESUS BRING THE PORK CHOPS

    See it at www.amazon.com

    Funny but flawed logic.
So many cries of inequality stem from one of group
of people doing little or nothing and then bitching
about another group that actually does something
    to improve their lives.

Did anyone else think this was going to be about John H and young children at a Wal-Mart?
Today I can do what others will not so that tomorrow I will do what others cannot.

The difference between winners and losers is that winners do things that losers don't want to do.

That reminds me of a joke about Micheal Jackson. Here it is, but slightly modified:

Question: Why does John H. like to shop at Wal-Mart?
Answer: Because all the boys pants are half off.

    Hi Pony,

I don't mind kidding around - but PLEASE NOT with regard to children. You can trash Walmart all you want and me too in other areas EXCEPT when it comes to children - I DO VALUE THEM VERY MUCH AS I SINCERELY HOPE YOU DO ALSO - ALL CHILDREN - THEY ARE SACRED AND MUST BE PROTECTED by everyone. I ABSOLUTELY HATE hearing anything that has anything to do with the harming of "crum-crunchers" - it TEARS ME UP - so PLEASE - let's NOT kid around" this way. OK?

    Thank you!

    Cfs,

I would BE THE VERY FIRST PERSON STANDING IN LINE to pull the switch on ANYONE who would harm children IN ANY WAY -

PLEASE, let's move on about this. You can run me down about anything else BUT I AM NOT SOMEONE WHO WOULD EVER HARM ANY CHILDREN ANY TIME FOR ANY REASON and I DO NOT appreciate the "joking around" about this at all.

    Thank you!

    Hi Tony,

I think he generally "shoots from the hip" - that is, he tells it like it is and that upsets some but he really is funny - hilarious! He was on The Tonite Show with Jay Leno a few days ago. (I am rarely up that late so it was neat to see him).

He strikes me as a man who will never let anyone "shit" on him ever. I like his honesty. And his courage to speak his mind.

I am borrowing the book from the library - they have two copies and they are both out right now so I am on the list.

Carlin is hilarious. I've watched him since I was a little kid. His cynicism has grown over the years but I kind of understand. I'm more of a cynic my own damn self now.

Busy his crashing into your religious beliefs could produce nothing but dislike for him from you. "Ooohhhhhh no he did not say that religion is a tool used by the power elite to control idots ... and always has been ". Carlin is an Athiest Extreme.

    Hi Bone,

I think some of the problem some may have with Carlin is that he "shoots from the hip", that is he tells it like it IS. His cyncisim is a result of having to say AGAIN something because nothing seems to ever change for the better. "Everyone KNOWS there is a problem but nothing is ever done about it" - see what I am saying?

He is hitting on "religion" for good reasons. He'd have absolutely nothing to say if what he says was not actually true. I myself believe in God but NOT "religion" because they are so "tied at the hips and the lips" with politics and many times religious leaders for sure are nothing more than glorified politicians. And FOR DAMN SURE - "...religion is a tool used by the power elite..." - THAT IS ABSOLUTELY TRUE - AND the "power elite" have as some of their members "religious leaders" as well. The "...idiots..." are those that just "swallow" what anyone tells them and "just accept" everything - they are ALWAYS LED by others. But the "idiots" are in many cases people who are scared of the unknown and are willing to "accept" just about anything they are told that makes them "feel better" REGARDLESS of whether it is actually true or not...Trust me, with "religion", it is ALL ABOUT the money and having the power over others for the personal gain of a few. POLITICS.

There is a HUGE VOID between God and "religion" BIGTIME!!! And it seems to be getting BIGGER.

    Take Care, John H.

    Hi Busy,

I think he uses this method to really get peoples attention to what it IS he IS saying. It must be working because look at those that get upset at what he has to say - it IS TRUE and they do not like being told something that IS TRUE. And those that like him LIKE him because of his truthfulness and his methodology.

This may be a little off topic but I agree with that post about religion and politics being a bad mix.Religion was used by politicians to achieve power by playing on sectarianism and peoples fears.Situation in the north of Ireland was originally started as a religious division instigated by politicians , although its more about ethnicity these days.My 2 cents.

    Hi Celtic,

Being honest completely, if you check into the history of unrest and war throughout the ages you probably will find that religion has been at the bottom of the problem. I wish this was not true - but it is.

And religion and politics have always been strange bedfellows. Religion manytimes is nothing more than glorified politics. And truthfully has nothing to do with God - the REAL GOD.

    I creates a knee-jerk reaction in the anti-establishment, x-files watching, nut jobs.

They won't tolerate individuals or companies that don't have the same tolerances that they have...

If Jesus brings the pork chops who's gonna bring the apple sauce?
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012
