    Good reading

For those interested in the cowboys and cattle country and the West (U. S.) here are a couple of good books you will want to read:

Adams, Andy: LOG OF A COWBOY (probably the best book ever written on cattle drives, etc.)

James, Will: LONE COWBOY (any of his books are really great)

    Hi That,

"Clears throat" - that COULD be "necessary" if you are so "inclinded"...

No, I was saying that these ARE DAMN GOOD BOOKS and you would want to read them yourself if you are at all interested in the West. You would not be wasting your time. They are DAMN GOOD!!

dear john why do you have quotations around fine, other guys and mess with me? it is just annoying. we all know you like a little dick you have told us and told us and told us there is no need to hint and over emphasise certain words. i think you are old. so old you think being bi is something to be ashamed of, are delighted you aren't but don't fucking get it that that is fine with us that our issue with you is your way you write and the constant i dunno what do you fucking think they are "HINTS" that you enjoy both sexes. we know, we don't give a shit, we certainly don't hold it against you NOW IF YOU WOULD JUST FUCKING GET OVER YOUR ISSUES WITH IT MAYBE WE COULD ACTUALLY STAND TO READ YOUR POSTS. assuming we are going to find fault with you for being bi kinda shows maybe you have shame issues.

    ps Shakespeare liked guys too.

    Rock,

You come off has a "high and mighty" type person - or think you are.

My posts are for anyone who reads them - not just you. Sometimes I find it necessary to explain but I certainly have no reason for any "shame" as you put it with regard to my Sexuality. There are those like yourself who seem to place themselves above everyone else and like to "lord over" others because you "put yourself in that position" but I have no intention of letting you get away with that "almightness" with me. Try it on someone else. It will not work with me ever. I have earned my way in life everyday and do not back up for my pay. I have served my country honorably. I am no little kid you can knock around. I do not disrespect others unless they show a need for it. Respect is something that is earned not just a given. And I NEVER use others as so many seem to do these days. So if that upsets you so be it.

You write as if you are speaking for everyone else. Try writing for just yourself and let others do their speaking FOR THEMSELVES. Who died and left you "boss"?

I generally will not even attempt to slam anyone, I just let them have their way to a point. I feel those type people are the very ones with personal issues themselves and somehow seem to feel the need to push themselves onto others. My "fuse" is not endless. As is no one's. Try being a person that is positive and has positive things to say and add for the betterment of all people including yourself. Grow up some.

And, if you do not like what I write or say no one is forcing you to read anything. Move on.

john boy no one likes what you write, and we respond because this is an open board and we feel as much as you have the right to post this inane bull we have the right to respond with something that makes sense. and stop talking like your some tough guy its ridiculous over the internet to act like you are going to go off because your "fuse" isnt endless. and you are very much percieved as a little kid on this board. and if your writing just for yourself then you would do it in a journal this is a public forum and therefore your intentions are to write your thoughts for others to read.

    Bio,

Your "christianity" is "showing". "Christianity" is NOT the ONLY religion or belief.

Your thoughts are your thoughts. Mine are mine. You state yours. I state mine. If you (or anyone else) trys to tell me what I can and can not do I can do just the same. Or not. If you try shoving something down my throat I can equally do as well.

"Religion" and "religious zealots" and "religious beliefs" started all this. THEY ARE the authors of all the bullshit. Not me. I never allow people to walk all over me. I will have my say as well.

john it's not just me. the way you write is so annoying there is a whole thread about it. take a hint. and as i've stated my prob is not so much what you say as how you say it. your big dramatic words and little tee hee quotation marks. if you are so comfortable w your sexuality why defend it so vehemently? you imagine attacks when there are none. you kept telling me Shakespeare liked guys, assuming i would have a prob with that sorry no i don't. my ex, my kids father, is bi n i don't have a problem with that why would i have a problem w you? it is simply that you write stupid shit in the most annoying way possible. and EVERYTHING has to focus on your delight in a little cock.... you don't just come in as comfortable in your own skin n talk to us you come in and try to hit us with your gay pride flag cuz you assume we take issue w it. we fucking don't it's your lack of personality, weird writing, defensiveness and religion religion religion whining.
n you don't have to tell me you have a "long fuse" you wrote about that too much too.

I was thinking the book LOG OF A COWBOY was about the adventures of taking a poopie along the Chisholm Trail (That's Chisholm not Jism John H.)
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

I started this thread to recommend to those interested in the West (U. S.) and Cowboys a couple of really good books they would like to read if they have not already. The weather has not been good for many and I thought these might help out. Nothing more.

See the books yourself and see for yourself. All else here really has nothing to do with my intention here.

For those who do read these books, let me know what you think about them. Share your thoughts.

LOG OF A COWBOY was originally published in 1903. LONE COWBOY in 1930. Both are still published and readily available. They are classics in their field.

    Take Care, John H.
