Werd up, my man!! I literaly couldnt sleep last night cause Im so exited. Tommy's Tiity Cam is going to make it like the world's biggest party next to Spring Break! Next to Kiss, The Crue has always had the hottest women at their shows. Well....in my opinion anyways.

Well bro, the concert was last night and I damn sure enjoyed myself even though it wasnt as good as it could have been.

They started off with Too fast For Love and the crowd got going and the babes were literaly dancing in the isles. Afterwards, Vince came center stage and raised his hands and the crowd went wild. Then behind him, Tommy gets up and the place literaly went ape shit. Even my sister noticed that and we all thought it was sad but funny.

Vince was a dissapointment. He needs to realize that he is VINCE FUKIN NEIL, frontman for one of the most powerful bands in existance. But for some strange reason, he does not produce an aura like he should. He just doesnt. He performed the entire concert prancing around like a sissy and acting like he was performing at his senior prom with moves that looked more like Shaun Cassidy than a metal singer. And unless he had some kind of electronic help, he had one of the most powerful and piercing screams I have ever heard. The whole place went "WHOA". Matched a few of Mick's high notes dead on and even sustained them longer. I really wanted to conect with him but I just couldnt.

Nikki was Nikki, same as he's always been. Nothing's changed. He put on a great show but he is definately slowing down. His sound was good too, better than when I last saw them. Bright and punchy without sounding dronish. A real bass sound.

    Tommy.

Tommy, Tommy, Tommy. He stole the fukin show. First off he had more energy and heart than Vince and Nikki put together. He pounded his kit like it was going to be the last time he ever did it. And his sound was phenomenal. On Red Hot, I thought his bass drums sounded like cannons and the place came positively unglued when he kicked that song in. All throughout the concert he played with the same fire and passion, he never let up. His Titty Cam was a highlight of the show with him showing all of us why some things about Texas are trully huge. His drum solo had a very interesting effect: it got all the babes, every last one that I could see, to get up and DANCE. Especially during the techno part of it. I was entranced. There was this one "regular" looking girl a couple of rows down from me and after she swayed and bumped and moved to his techno, her Hot Factor rose to dizzying proportions. She came in a commoner and left a Goddess. I wanted to throw myself on the floor before her so she wouldnt have to walk on that dirty carpet.

Mick touched me last night. I came to admire him greatley. All of us were in agreement that he gave it more than all of them. He moved with what seemed like great pain and literaly looked like an 80 year old walking around on that stage, all hunched over and humpbacked. But he gave it everything he had and jammed even harder than Vince and Nikki. He was all over the place. The only sad thing is that his sound sucked worse than anything. On Ten Seconds to Love, we couldnt even hear his guitar and we lost our place in singing along more than a few times. If it hadnt been for the words, I would not have known what the hell they were playing. Mick chose to use a *groan* Stratocrapper throughout the whole show and those guitars are NOT meant for metal of that type. Oh it sounded good and right on songs like Kick Start My Heart, but it sucked harder than a dime store whore on all the old stuff, which is motly all they played. he should have busted out his Les Paul or Flying V for those songs.

But he kicked ass anyways. Im never going to forget the night Mick came to take care of bid-ness. I hope his hip gets better and I truly wish him all the best.

NOT that it wasnt an all out night, though! It still ranks as one of the pre-eminent nights of the past few years. I guess I just expect more from one of the premier frontmen of the metal scene. I had hoped Vince had matured, but all in all......its kind like gettin a Rolls Royce and having the freedom to say, "dang.....wish the interior was another color"

v you write a fantastic review. that was awesome. my 1st concert was KISS and i wrote a review for it for my creative writing class. it'd be nice to find it sometime pawing thru my mom's keepsakes.

in vegas frank zappa kinda made fun of the crowd doesn't really get it sometimes moments. there was a big promotion prior to the show that if you wore a mustache you'd get a reduced price on admission or something like that. rumors started flying that he was going to shave his mustache off. so finally it's showtime. and a guy w a bandana tied around his face walks on stage. the crowd went apeshit screaming, clapping. and here comes frank calm as could be walking on stage mustache and all.

in portland maine eric clapton comes on. it's a seated show. he played some very beautiful classic songs of his to a pretty calm crowd. then he starts playing cocaine and everyone is on their feet headed toward the front. nice healthy town. lol.

Don't look back ~ You're not going that way!

No I sure dont! I didnt even know they had that out. Shows how much I keep my ear to the grapevine, doesnt it? Ive been looking around for other rare stuff so I guess maybe something from The Crue slipped my mind. I found WASP live at the Troubador the other day. That was a fantastic show. Blackie got chunky, but he can still belt out Fuck Like A Beast like its 1985. Then I also got G3 with Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and.....*gasp*.....YNGWIE!! I never in my wildest dreams thought that Yngwie would ever do something like that since he has never made it a secret that he feels no guitar player on earth is his peer. And uh.....I do have to say that, uh...... well, for all of Steve's and Joe's capabilities, its my personal opinion that Yngwie was better. Never thought Id say that about Joe, cause I love Joe and he's only the second solo player Ive ever paid to see, but ..... damn you just have to see Yngwie on this one.

Hey man, come back and tell us how the other Crue show compares to the one you just saw. Ask Tommy if he remembers some weird Mexican dude trying to put his pecs on the Titty Cam.
