At my wits end...

I don't know what to do here. I have a co-worker always in my business. She is sort of a superior, but hardly. We work on 2 different projects and she has absolutely no control over what I do. So, I took off early yesterday and let the secretary know this. The pain in my ass started paging me at 4:15, but if I am not at work, I don't carry my pager. So, I get in today and she asks me where I was. I ask why and she said she paged me. I asked for what and she said never mind. She then started giving me the 3rd degree and I asked, "For what reason did you page me?" She refused to answer, then I told her come up with an answer or I was going to call HR and she could tell them.

I mean, WTF. She is not a superior to me, she has just been a research coordinator longer than me. The only reason she would page me is to keep tabs on me. She did it before and I ratted her ass out to HR. I asked her why she paged me a month ago and she told me she just wanted to know where I was. I asked her for what reason and she said, "Just wondering." I hate being a dick, but if I don't report her I get in trouble. Apparently there is an issue with her direct subordinate in the same area. She will just page her for no reason.

Any ideas how to quash this issue? Otherwise I will be quashing it in a not-so-friendly manner and I have already made this bitch cry twice by yelling at her.

Yeah, CYA is what I have been doing. I have talked to both HR and the Head honcho twice. The vbest part is that I am 1 of about 5 people who have had probs with her.

I have set a plan into motion...

This woman is slightly off as it is, but my plan is to set meetings with her, myself, and the boss, but give her the wrong time by about 30 minutes. Sometimes it will be earlier than the meeting, sometimes it will be later. There will be no pattern, and at then end of it all, she will be a mess. Mind games will start today.

If she has already pissed off 5 people then right now you just look like another victim to HR, but if you retaliate then its going to escalate and that might not actually be good. Plus, if she is a real tight ass she'll probably call the boss or something to verify the appointment before it happens.

I would tell her that i will not answer/respond to any pages from her until she gives me a valid reason for the previous page. And if she has a problem with me not responding to her pages, i would tell her to take it up with HR as i have a problem with her paging me for no reason.
