On Truth and Freedom
How do we know what we believe to be true... is it really true? What if some truths we've come to firmly believe are distortions, like reflections in a fun-house mirror - mere illusions, created and maintained by those who benefit from our misplaced trust? Could such a thing happen in America? Would we let it happen?

It has happened. On one subject - anabolic steroids - what passes for common knowledge has little connection to reality. But we've been manipulated to believe it, and its in the interests of certain influential forces to keep the illusion going. They are quite happy with it, een though many effects of the illusion have been catastrophic, both at the individual societal levels.

how could this have happened? Easily enough, I'm afraid. Too many of us are sheep in the meadow, content to be herded. We blindly trust what we read in the daily papers or see on the evening news, and save our critical thinking for issues that appear to have a direct an immediate personal impact on us. Why question authority? It's easier to let others decide whats best for us. If a sports medicine physician proclaims that anabolics are deadly and dangerous drugs, we believe it without reservation. If a politician or government spokesman says our steroid laws are working, who are we to challenge them? Negative and alarming reports are all we have heard from the mainstream media; the flow of information to the public has been carefully controlled to ensure that. Inextricably binding steroids to cheating athletes has well served the agenda of some powerful special interests. Demonizing steroids has been great for the media. While alternate views exists, they have gone unheralded. Suppression and punishment seem totally natural public responses to the non-medical use of these substances. Freedom is never mentioned as having anything to do with it.

Freedom has everything to do with it. The more we submit to additional layers of government protection from ourselves, the more freedom we sacrifice. Where will it end? Prepare for further losses of freedom. The same players who brought us the Anabolic Steroid Control Act are at it again: this time to dupe us into believing that broadly depriving everyone of various over-the-counter health food supplements is in our best interests. Yet another freedom will be lost. Who knows what it will be next time?

British author George Orwell wrote, "Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two make four" - even though you're being told otherwise. It's the freedom to give voice to the real truth, untainted by disinformation and propaganda. Is that freedom of value to you? You have a choice. You can continue to believe what you've been told, or you can open your eyes to examine the facts and discover the truth for yourself. My aim is to help you to do that....There are many uncharted roads ahead, much to be explored, and a flock in the meadow in need of brave sheperds.

Now considering the recent events in the media concerning baseball and steroids, I have found myself disgusted to the point where I find myself wanting to vomit everytime I hear some fat fuck of a congressman who probably just finished a glass of scotch and some cheesfries lecturing the country on the healthrisks of an elevated hormone level, and I thought this preface was appropriate. Why are we tolerating this bullshit, why are we tolerating this hypocracy, this ignorance? Is this what America has come to, b/c it sickens me. I am a huge sports fan, but I will NEVER watch another minute of any ESPN broadcast inclusing sportscenter, seeing as how every single time I have tuned in the last two months, its been nothing but one-sided demonizing of steroids, and talk of how theses drugs kill and how we need to do it for the young kids. BTW please take notice of the last paragraph above and how Collins talks of a forthcoming ban on supplements. The article was from 2002, and sure enough he was correct, this ban did happen. This crap is nothing more than a 2k witchhunt. Nothing but finger pointing and speculation, condemnation and accusations. The truths obviously has had no place in this matter, these media outlets have editorialized this story to death which is unbelievably irresponsible. I really can't even express in words my level of frustration/dissapointment/anger/disgust towards this situation. All these people can talk about is a slippery slope, whats gonna happen if people are allowed to take steroids to increase muscle mass for gods sake, What if a person has steroids in there car and they are driving through a school zone, thats a slippery slope, slippery slope. HOW ABOUT THIS YOU GOD DAMM PUSSIES, WHAT ABOUT TAKING AWAY OUR FREEDOMS IN THOSE MANNER ONE BY ONE, WHAT ABOUT THAT SLIPPERY SLOPE HUH!! ANSWER ME THAT! IS THAT NOT MORE IMPORTANT? Sportscenter reported that 1/16 highschool kids have used AAS, which is riduculous. That CAN'T be true. I have never met one highschool kid that used, which is not to say thats there are none that have. Is it really such a problem though? I don't believe it for a second. Seems like all you need to say in this country to make a stink it one of two things; either its against your religion, or we need to do it for the children, my god the children!! Oh and by the way idiots, where the hell is the all mighty ACLU in this situation when we could actually use their assistance? NO NO there are spending all their god damm time cruisading to makes sure we get the crest of the LA county courthouse removed, or making sure that God forbid we don't get any DNA from convicted muderers, who btw are in prison for life, so we can try and solve past crimes, b/c hey, they have rights ya know!!! ARE YOU ALL RETARDED, ARE THESE THE THINGS WE REALLY CARE ABOUT, REALLY?!! REALLY?!! Will everyone who supports these hearings and any of these acts just please all do us sane, middle ground, right thinking people a favor and put a god damm bullet in your head. Matter of fact, why the hell are we listening to these dipshits in the first place. Can't we all get together on this? Jesus christ. When is it gonna end, who is gonna step up and take responsibility for the direction we are heading in this country? Why are we stomaching this hypocracy in the first place from our so called leaders? Well I have had it, and I suggest the rest of you start kicking up some dust b/c no one else seems to have the balls to stand up for the underlying truths and freedoms that this country was founded on, and if you all have no problem with these rights discepating, then I want to no none of you.
