I live in Perth
Perth is actually one of the most cleanest cities in the world
The people are okay, depending on which area you live in i guess..like all cities we have our fair share of dickheads, but then we also have a lot of cool people here.
The weather is simple: in summer its hot, in winter its cold and it rains.
But luckily when its really hot we have nice beaches to retreat to without having to worry too much about sharks or any other nasty things

I live in Perth too.....great place with usually great weather....none of the speedy lifestyle....rather lay-back and enjoying life really!!! Where exactly are you going??? The difference could be either 5 min's from the city center...or 30 mins!!!! But if you want to drop me a line.........I can give you more info.....from a girlies point of view!!!

Cold
Winnipeg cold= minus 50 degrees with the windchill in the winter (which lasts 7 months if we are lucky) Perth cold= a breeze

It kinda was nipply when I was there in July of 97, 50 degrees and raining, remember summer is winter and vice versa, the weather is no worse than Maui.

J'Bo the coldest it gets in Perth is around 1 degree!!! So I doubt you will have a problem coping......as for rain....we are lucky to get maybe 3 months of the year where it does rain....and it is as cold as your fridge!!!! Beaches are clean...mind you we do have the odd shark floating around....but hell.....the fishing is great!!! We are isolated from Sydney and the others on the Eastern side....but we dont really mind!!!!
Plenty for sporty people around.....gotta get you to head down south!!! Best areas for surfing and wine growing........we will have to meet up once you land!!! Pitty I dont work at the International Airport anymore.........could have met you straight off the plane, and for the pornal members of the bunch........full body strip..... ermmm....search .....if you wish!!!!

Esm: Warm temps, sharks, fishing, and meeting Esm sounds great! The company received the resume and has already said that they are impressed. My sis got excited and sent the draft that had not been looked over yet. Did not seem to matter because they have contacted her and said that they are anxious to meet me.
I hope to leave Winnipeg in Sept-October but we will see what happens. Things are kinda up in the air at the home front. Hopefully things will be figured out this weekend. The boyfriend doesnt think that he can transfer his credits over the Aussie so it makes it a more difficult situation.
