    Paris...

Anyone from there or familiar with it? I need to know the different cultural sections and their locations/names. Mainly a type of place where someone who is young and poor might live......especially if it is somewhat shaddy, where a criminal might live.

btw, I am not this person. I am a writer and one of the characters goes to Paris. Stupid me, never been there, shouldn't have written it that way but too late to change!

If you're in the UK, why dont you pop over on the chunnel for a day?

I've actually never been to Paris, but good luck with that.

Oh, and btw, if you are going to write about a city, I suggest either researching it superbly or just going over and spending some time there so you can get a feel for it. It'll come off so much better on paper that way.

I mean, some people did in the old days and were pretty good at it... but I think in the present day and age people are a bit more critical about it. Perhaps because we are more traveled now and have that expectation of accuracy.

Its kind of like trying to describe Venice... and not having seen the piazzas with musicians playing in the evening, the water ferrys, the old buildings with lavish interiors, the amazing art, and you know, all that stuff.

I think you can make a run at it, but its definitely the hard way
