Suggestions on LAS VEGAS trip ??

hey, My girlfriend an I are going to Vegas on May,5 - 7. We have never been there before and we have no clue of what to expect...(i am going 3 tiems this year, One for vacation, one for a Law Enforcement Competition which i am part of, and 3th time for the Mr.O).....so any way, we have no clue what to expect and where to stay, we were thinking about the sahara hotel but they all look so similar and unique we dont know where to stay...I defenently want a hotel with some cool stuff in it and a nice ass pool experience, there defenently has to be some nice swimming are there....what else should i do there ?? is there any famous restourants or and famous candy shops there ??? any one care to help us out ?? any suggestions????

Oh yeah, does anyone know a really nice hotel room on the strip for around 100$ a night ???

I like the pools at the Hard Rock and Mandalay Bay. There are some great resturants at Mandalay Bay, Paris and The Bellagio. there is a ton of shit to do in Vegas. The best thing to to is to hit up Vegas.com and plan some stuff out.

alright thankx guy (i hope i didnt ask for to much) i really apreciate it and i cant wait to go, i wasnt to excited to go to vegas because i didnt know what all the hype about that city was anyways, but now i am really excited......... I heared there is a 10 pound cheeseburger in vegas somewhere, and I WILL GET IT FOR SURE, i have to get that burger......The rest will be just chillin at the pool and going on the rides that the hotels offer, but food will be my nummber 1 priority...We are not really party animals so clubs or the "wild" night life doesnt matter to me anyways, I WANT FOOD I WANT FOOD!! lol

Club 54 is pretty good and the House of Blues. I hear that the club at Rio is pretty awesome and that Rain (I think it's Britney's club) is a good place to go too. Your girlfriend will have fun shopping .

Second the Mandalay Bay pool and you gotta do some gambling at Caesar's for sure just to get served by girls in roman skirts.

Stay on the strip if you can - it makes life a lot easier. You can walk everywhere.
Today I can do what others will not so that tomorrow I will do what others cannot.

The difference between winners and losers is that winners do things that losers don't want to do.

QG, make sure you make a stop at the stage deli in the forum shops. Without a doubt the best deli sandwiches around! Get the George Foreman.

Having stayed at Bellagio before and eaten at Picasso, we're talking $$$$$$. I don't think most people want to spend that much at a restaurant.

You need to check out the buffet at the Aladdin....When I get home, I'll post a crap load of links that I used to help me plan my last trip to Las Vegas....They will help you a bunch.

I don't have these at work.....

also check out the buffets at Bellagio, Mirage and the Rio. call for pricing and times because they are all different. all of the big hotel & casino's have (Palm's, MGM, Flamingo Hilton, Bally's, etc) them but IMO those are the best that I have been to so far.

I suggest Palms hotel, they have an awesome swimming pool with tons of half naked chix. They also have a cool night club, Rain. Another club I suggest is Drae's at Barbary coast. Its always off the hook on saturday/sunday morning. Few more clubs worth mentioning are Ice, and Body English at Hard rock.

Check out the Ghost Bar atop the Palms hotel. It has amazing views of the city. The best pool complex IMO is at Mandalay Bay.

If you like Mexican food, try the Guadalajara. It's at the casino Boulder Station over on Boulder Highway near Sahara road. It's has great food, including a bar of about 30 salsas. Plus, it's very reasonably priced.

I'm pretty into food but have never heard of that one. I'll keep my eyes open for you though. Looks like your timing is gonna be great. The wind has finally gone and we're hanging steady right around 80 degrees.

Maybe a 1 pound burger, I mean come on 10 pounds?

Wheres the best place to get drunk in Vegas? Circus-Circus?
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012
