    On Drugs Again

Slow day today for me, so I thought a little more of Bill Hicks' comedy would do:

You never see positive drug stories on the news, do ya. Isn't that weird cos most of the experiences I've had on drugs, were rrreal fucking positive. Er. Who are these morons they're finding that's what I wanna know.....

Always that same LSD story, you've all seen it. "Young man on acid, thought he could fly, jumped out of a building. What a tragedy." What a dick, fuck him! He's an idiot. If he thought he could fly, why didn't he take off from the ground first?....

How about a positive LSD story? Wouldn't that be newsworthy, just the once? To base your decision on information rather than scare tactics and superstitions and lies? I think it would be news-worthy. "Today, a young man on acid realised that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration. That we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively. There is no such thing as death, life is only a dream and we're the imagination of ourselves." "Here's Tom with the weather."

I could give some of my stories.

    I can see your skull.
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

sometimes sex on acid.... wow. the details are too pornesque. sometimes sex on qualudes... wow the details are too pornesque... once on acid i saw the most beautiful pictures... once on mushrooms the whole outdoors was made of one moving pattern. everything was like it was the car, lawn, trees but made of this pattern that moved over everything.... was sooo cool. one of the best tricks i ever pulled my brother came to my house tripping on acid and asked for a drink. i offered him kool-aid and gave him a tall glass full of red jello. it was priceless... been there done it all not too many bad experiences. but there is a difference between a life with a bit of drugs punctuating it and a life where the drugs mean too much. it's best to feel like i do now. clarity is a cool drug. health is a trip. nice not wanting to pee your pants when the cops knock on your door. and all my crazy days were well ended by the time kids were a consideration. imagine getting busted in front of your kids? not cool. but yea the media is not telling the whole story.

Once I tried all the drugs out there I realized you can experience the same things with out them. This morning I woke up and the rising sun was beaming through my window right through the slits of the bamboo slats, I wasn't ready to get up so I closed my eyes and slipped into half conciousness a dream started and the colors were all neonesque, shimmering turquoise water and bright lime green grass and irridescent sunbeams gleaming off of everything. Even the browns and blacks were neonesque.

I ate shrooms a bunch in my late teens and let me tell you, no one can travel around the galaxy in 6 hours like I did. Im not promoting any drugs here, but some of the experiences were incredible...

I agree entirely, but by the same note there's something to be said for seeing Aztec Temples appear on the wall before you without having to travel. Or getting on a laughing jag b/c your hand no longer looks like a hand. Moments to be treasured indeed. Epiphanies happen in unaltered states all the time. For instance, while taking a respite from reading Robert Bork's rag Slouching toward Gomorrah, I had the ultimate experience. It was probably a waking dream, but very enlightening nonetheless.

Rockgazer, having sex on LSD...you have guts my friend.

Maynard, I really don't know Tool, unfortunately all my favorite musicians are dead.
