150, maybe 4 years ago. Very stable (Koni DA etc etc), but still highly illegal. On the interstate early in the weekend morn.

Twisted the needle off of my speedometer on my ZX7. (170) Down hill on the interstate in Montana. Remember when they didn't have a speed limit??? Only a few years ago you could go as fast as was"Reasonable and Prudent"!

dd ... is that still the case? I didn't know the states had such a highway. Is that the only one or are there others?

They have since revoked that philosophy. The federal government said they wouldn't fund the Highways/Interstates if they didn't put a speed restriction on them. It was that way for about four years. Ironicly enough, fatalities didn't increase. Whilel I was n college we could drive clear across the state at 100+ MPH. It was great!

My freshman year of college, I got a ticket going 110 in a 60 zone coming home from school for the summer. It was in my pathfinder, which was rattling so bad I thought it was going to fall apart.

Yep, Nevada ran into the same issue. Funds pulled. They still open up 318 once a year for the Silver State Classic, and they have other races from time to time, Gamblers Run and so on.

When I did the 130 run I slowed down to 110 then past a constable. I had to slow down to a normal speed to exit the freeway. He pulled up beside my and turned his alley light on then took off. Luck I didn't go to jail that night.

westb51, mine was on I45 south at the beltway.

But what's the deal with stretches of highway that are policed by MP's like near a military base? I know that around Ft. Bragg, there are no posted speed limits but have been told the MP's will bust you if they think you are being reckless. Just wondering if this was true or not.

what's the point of driving so fast? You could always lose control of the car and the next thing you know you're in the hospital.

Well I didn´t drive the thing, I was in the back seat. But it got so fast, around 200 mph. Then after a while, it took off.
