Thread: The Governator - not 6'2"

You know, I had a power lifter friend of mine (who met Arnold) once tell me that Arnold was short (ie not 6'2"). I didn't believe him.

I heard the same from 2 people, one who is really into politics. Now I believe them, claims of platform shoes sounded ridiculous.

In the Oliva article I posted, he claims about how Weider lied about other things too

It's not "lying". It's creatively promoting your product.

It would be easy to think of him as being pretty big when he was all muscled up. Even if you were a slight bit taller than him you might remember him as being an imposing figure and attribute more height to him.

Ah well, no biggie. 5'9" or 6'2", he was still a great body builder. I dont know if he was better than Sergio, but ah well.

I think Arnold is 6`2" he is no way 5`8" hahaahh what a load of bull!

I believe he was 6" 2" just by looking at comparison photos from the 70's and even up until today next to other bodybuilders, actors, etc.

He is almost 60 years old and has most likely shrunk an inch, also like the one guy said in that article people see him in the movies, and from his bodybuilding days and expect to see this monster in person. Either you have this preconceived image in your head, or just the illusion of seeing him in the movies and photos. Then in person he seems pretty normal, especially now since his physique is nothing as it used to be.

I dunno. Dude at my work is just about my height and he said there was no way he is 6'2" especially with those platform shoes on which the Democrats keep poking fun at him for.

My dad has shrunk from age and such too, but there is no way he shrunk 2-4 inches.

If they lied about arnold being 6`2" then they led about serge nurbet being 6 foot because arnold was taller then him in pumping iron... i dont see why they would lie about his height because it easy for people to find out the truth... because most people cant relate to 22inch arms they can lie about it... but height? no way, it would just be silly.

If they did lie i would say 6`1" at the least then.. and now maybe 5`11"- 6 foot

well, I have no idea as I have never met either of them in person, but Arnold does not appear to be more than a few inches shorter than Lou in that pic.

His Bio says that he is 6'2".

well, that is just it, if you read the article that Mudge posted a link to, they are questioning the "fact" that he is 6' 2".

Lou is also listed as 6'4" on some sites, but keep in mind Arnold has been noted to wear boots, and sometimes platform shoes.

A search of the Internet was little help in finding the governor-elect's true height, because most references are to Schwarzenegger standing a solid 6-2 -- including one on Schwarzenegger.com.

As it turns out, though, that's stretching the truth.

OK, I met Lou. Stood face to face with him and shook his hand. He's definately NOT 6'5".

I stand 6' and he was only marginaly taller then me. We were practically eye-to-eye.

maybe Lou shrunk too!

Arnold is like 6'1, and Louie is like 6'3
