    Crap parents

So some police handcuff this 5yr old that is tearing shit up at school and who punched the assistant principal in the head. I mean, come on, your kid punches the assistant principal in the head, what kind of crap ass parent are you? Suing the police isnt going to change the fact, you're a shitty parent, and unfortunately we allowed you to breed. Now you are going to pass your shittiness on to your children. Too bad the police didn't slap the mother too.

(would have said father, but the lawyer was representing the mother and didn't mention the father).

She definitely gets a Suck Ass award. Who around here is tired of shitty parents like Inga Akins who cant raise kids and do a serious disservice to society by breeding?

when i worked at the childcare center at my college i saw a child behave this way because he was having an adverse reaction to a medication, it had nothing to do with bad parenting. i think you need more information before you condemn the mom.

Wow, I am amazed. I thought by the title of this thread that Eggs got grounded for not finishing his green beans and, to get back at his folks, he was venting here.

Thats nice and all, but most children I see behaving badly do so because of crappy parents. You can blame it on medication all you want, but thats very much a minority.

I wouldnt be blaming parents if the mother had acted responsibly, but instead she lashed out at the police officers instead of thanking them for safely removing her child, and for teaching her child a lesson by showing her the error of her ways.

So, the child could really be a decent child, and perhaps even on medication. However, the kid does have shit for parents.

a 5 yr old child is lucky to weigh 45 pounds. 3 officers handcuffed this child. if it was my child i'd be fucking furious. i guess i must be a shit parent too? i have dealt with plenty of unruly children, never saw the need to handcuff one.

I think being arrested by 3 cops sends a serious note to the kid. They should have left him in a cell(without bubba, LOL) overnight so she gets the picture..
    On the other hand..
The woman sueing says,"its ok, they fucked up, not you." .. I think her chances of going to jail for assault/homicide just went up 30%

Its a low chance she was on mind altering meds, and if his actions werent at the fault of crap parenting, then her actions following the arrest were a fine example of crap parenting. IMHO anyways.

I saw the whole thing on the news and both my spouse and I were outraged at seeing this young kid wailing at this teacher.
If RG69 is right about the kid being sick in the head then OK I would understand her behavior.........but if she was normal that little kid would deserve a royal beating.
That's the problem with kids today, you have stupid parents who allow their kids to disrespect elders.

I dont really feel like arguing with you about it... but out of curiosity, how would you like to restrain the child?

By physically holding her arms and legs? I'm sure that would look good for a cop to be doing as well, and would nicely result in another case.

By having someone else do it? They could be charged with false imprisonment, and the police would get in trouble, and of course another law suite would follow.

Should they lock her in a closet so she cant go ape shit on people? That would definitely lead to a law suite, especially if she managed to hurt herself in there.

Soooo, what exactly would you like them to do with her? She just hit somebody in the face, a person that should naturally inspire respect and obedience. That obviously wasnt the case... so how exactly would you deal with it RG?

Talk to her? That obviously wasnt working, there was a reason the police were there in the first place. Because "talking" didnt quite cut it. Should they beg her to be a good girl and not hit principals?

I would definitely like to hear what you would do.

She must have learned that from her parents, I really am not saying it's the girls fault, it's most probably originates from the parents.
If that was my kid I would not sue the cops, first I would feel ashamed that something I raised would behave like such an animal and second I would seek help for the kid.

a competent adult could have handled the situation without calling the police to begin with. and yes i have dealt with angry, horrid, kicking, screaming, trying to bite me kids all by my lonesome many times in the course of 5yrs working at childcare centers. i have never had to use force or frighten a child to soothe a tantrum.

Teachers and what not arent paid to be punched in the face, or deal with kids that do that. Thats no where in their job description, and they shouldn't be forced to deal with that shit. Their job is hard enough as is.

That was the case of THOSE children...Every little piece of shit is different

Some require force...If no one did anything, then the kid would grow up thinking it's ok to hit people....

    Think about it...

Their job is very demanding and the burnout rate is high. There are too many instances of a teachers frustrations with low pay, stress and contract trouble ending up as resentment toward the children. Any person who doesn't think an occasional out of control child isn't part of the teaching package does not at all understand the stresses todays life and times places on children. With daycare and afterschool care a childs "work" day is often much longer than the parents or the teachers.

Thats funny, my thought of an out of control child is one that wont stop talking in class. Yours is one that hits their teacher in the face... and you think teachers should have to deal with that.

I'm glad children are stressed and all that shit. I just happened to be one once actually. And I never hit my teacher in the face, or any other authority figure.

Its not so surprising that kids are rampaging and killing each other and teachers and shit when we take what they do so lightly. Kids will be kids, but kids must also have a healthy respect for those placed in control of them. That respect does not include hitting their teacher in the face, even if one thinks they are paid to be abused as such.

    Hi RockGazer,

If a CHILD I didn't know WAS kicking and punching me, I WOULD lift it BY it's throat and THROW it against THE wall.

    Take care, Dale M.

I do think the officers were right, this kid will be in and out of prison if this thing isn't nipped in the bud while she is young..

i am currently moving cuz i live in an area where the schools are way below the national standard for education. the teachers don't give a crap. they will pass a kid that has learned nothing during the year just to try n make the school seem more adequate. kids here cannot depend on the people we pay to teach them. the kids in my daughter's classroom have books 15 yrs old, and some kids have to share because there aren't enough of those but the library just got a new widescreen tv?

IMO, it is not just parents that are responsible for bad kids, the school has a hand in it. If I were principal, I would be like Morgan Freeman in Lean on Me and raise some hell. I would carry around a bat, and the kids would call me batman, and I would use it on a daily basis to crack walnuts on my desk.

Sounds like a bad situation RG. However, both my parents have been professors in college and my sister in law was a teacher in high school and elementary. Not all teachers are like that, and in fact most arent. Sorry you live in a bad area though, at least in regards to that.

My sister in law had a kid that kept talking smack to her and saying sexual things to her. She kicked him out of class, but his mother was a teacher at the school and he always got off lightly. He pushed it too far and she told the principal that he would either be kicked out of school or she would quit. He had a "disability", which of course meant that he was pretty much fine, but his shit mom would let him get away with anything so he was never expected to act decently. Anyways, the principal pulled that shit and said that they had to treat him special because he had problems.

The main problem was that my sister in law had to be careful who she told about it. If my brothers men would have found out they probably would have beaten him and left him for death.

Which is how some kids should be taught respect. Fuck making excuses for them, which seems to be the norm.

Oh, and as to books not being that great, I grew up and went to school with villagers for quite a few years when I was a kid. That didn't negatively affect my intelligence, or my ability to treat my teachers with respect.

But thats definitely one of the problems. Parents practicelly expect teachers to raise their kids (more so than ever, with both parents playing less of a role than ever in their kids lies), but yet they tie their hands and threaten to sue anytime their kid gets pissy.

Where I grew up the principal did use a big paddle... and kids never thought about talking back to the dude.
