Tell me their kidding right? I read about those line of DVD's musceltech came out with this month so I was curious, excited @ best to check it out so I got one. (NO I DIDN'T BUY ANYTHING FROM GNC TO OBTAIN IT) I knew a young kid that comes into my gym who bought some cell tech and got it for free. Anyway lemme get to the point. I watched this DVD and thought I was going to see the boys throwin' around some heavy metal. Needless to say that DVD was the worst. I only seen the first one but if the others are like it They can keep them. ONE WORD.... CHEEEEEZZZY . That thing was something for kids. And Chris Cormier .... AND we wonder why BBing dosen't get mainstream appeal. Most of those guys were straight meatheads. Matt Duvall conducted himself well but OMFG Chris Cormier, and the other kid (from Texas) can't remember his name (powerlifting guy) anyway That DVD should Answer all of our questions as to why BBing is mainstream. DUHHHH. BBers now have no character. NOthing. Pumping IRON was big because ALL OF THE BBERS HAD CHARACTER> IN Closing< CRAP LIKE THIS IS WHY BBING IS LOSING OR LOST ITS APPEAL TO THE AVERAGE JOE, NOT STEROIDS.
Lee Priest has character, Shawn Ray is interesting to listen to. Just like any 'other' sport some of them are just not great on camera.
As for the sport itself appealing to people, its boring. A bunch of near naked guys on stage responding to "left triceps pose, back double biceps, most muscular..."

I can agree with you on Lee and Shawn, However their not on this mainstream DVD and to an outsider, They all look just plain dumb unlike pumping iron which showed BBers with their families and having a life. In any 'other' sport, the guys (even the not so brilliant ones) play to the camera. None of that in this. Just "I'm a big dumb cool BodyBuilder" is how the athletes came off. With the Exception of Charles glass who came off very professional or @ least to the best of his ability.
Any sport is going to have lots of people who are not that smart and simply good at what they do, or appear smart because they are engaging on camera.
Nasser el Sonbaty claims to be fluent in 7 languages, that hardly makes him a dumbass but it doesn't mean he is great on camera either. If people judge an entire sport because they saw a DVD with a handfull of people who "represent" said sport, then they are just as stupid if not moreso.
