Most civilizations disappeared because of weather changes and we have reached an irreversible point. Buy an ice cream and watch it happen.

The last efforts by environmentalists to stop polution backfired in an interesting way. Although global warming, which is the heat trapped in the co2 layer is making everything hotter, there is something else. Another phenomenon called global dimming, which is the deposist of particles from polution above that layer, reflecting the sun light to space, making everything cooler by almost 30% is helping to keep the world in a manageable situation. So when most cities tried to stop polution, global dimming reduced, more sun light reached the surface and everything got even hotter, generating the deadly summers we see in europe and asia.

It is irreversible because what generates global warming is mainly the burning of gas and oil, so we would need to stop our civilized world for a long time to make it go away, which we know, won´t happen. Increase of temperature making polar ice melt not only elevates sea level that will cover most countries, it releases methane from below. Methane, is way more powerful than co2, the layer of this cute gas will make everything so hot that life will become unsustainable and the ocean will be covered in spots of fire.

The real problem? It is not far away.

You are right.

And it takes a long time to cause damage and WHEN it can be corrected it takes a long time to do so. IF it can be corrected. In the meantime...

Those that damn "tree-huggers" fail to realize that when what the "tree-huggers" say comes true there will no longer be oxygen to breathe - oh those that damn the environmentalists will HAVE their money and riches but they will not live to enjoy that wealth because of lack of oxygen to breathe and will have destroyed life on the earth for all others. I guess for them money is more important but I fail to see how because if you are dead you ARE DEAD and can enjoy nothing - unless you like shoveling coal in a hot furnace in the afterlife...
