the thing is, a chick before me quit by just stop coming to work without any explanation. So that's already been done. Put all the wrong movies behind the right cases in the right shelves. It will take them months to get it all straightened out. People will come to the counter asking "why is Lion King behind Pretty woman?", " where is paretty woman?"

Do you ever get to close the store by yourself? If so, take every video in the store out of its case, stack them on the floor behind the cash register, but spell out "I QUIT -(your name)" on the floor with some of them. That would be badass as fuck.

If you take them out of the case and one gets misplaced, you'll get accused of stealing. You don't want that. Just walk down every aisle (be sure there's at least one other employee there to witness this), hold your arms out on either side, and pull every movie to the floor.

Does your store rent pornos? I know every video store in the country continually runs a new release on internal video screens. Just pop in the raunchiest prono you can find and pump up the volume as you walk out the door. Do it on a Friday or Saturday night for maximum effect.

Actually, I think you need to act like a grownup here and do the responsible thing. Go talk with your supervisor and tell her that you disagree with some recent stuff and tell her you are going to work a notice if things don't change/workout. Believe me, work will always suck and there will always be things you don't like. You can't just walk away from them all. Sooner or later it will catch up with you. She might even be impressed with how you handle the situation.

the last job I had I left for lunch and never came back. people from work were calling my house for a week wondering WTF happened to me and when I was coming back to work..

yeah. But I'm a college student. We aren't grown up or responcible. Your post has been marked VOID.

And Alboob's right, there are TV's in the store and anything we put in the VCR where the registers are will show up on them as well as the speakers in the entire store. So I have considered on my last day popping in a porno, turning the speakers up, and ditching that way too. But like dg said, sooner or later it will catch up with you, and I feel like this is one of those things they'd really pursue or something. Then again, something stupid isn't worth doing unless there's a big punishment for it.

I tend to over rationalize things and this was the first thing on my mind when I started considering what I want to do. I figured just not showing up is me escaping without closure. I felt like they would all say that I ran away because I didn't get the promotion. And that's exactly what it would have been. And that's not who I am. I don't dwell on things, and I don't run away from my problems. And that's all running away would accomplish.
