Thread: XBOX 360 or PS3

XBOX seems more advanced because it has 257 more stuff in the end instead of just three.

and Halo 3 in High Definition.

The PS3 will be 2 as fast as xbox360 and have all the features if not more than xbox360. (dont ask me for a source, its in swedish, find it yourself you lazy £@$€6 )

Still released 6 months later might make a huge difference.

I still say, fuck hardware, the games will look awesome on both, its all about who signs which games...

Processing power will be almost equal... no matter who has the slight numbers edge. The six month difference may not end up making a difference. They've released the specs, and they're pretty close. M$ wanted the six month head start. Funny, too... MS plans on releasing Halo 3 at the time of PS3's shipping.

Sony will never be able to offer the interoperability that M$ can. The PC convergence is practically owned by Microsoft with their current domination of Operating Systems. The integeration with a PC looks awesome.

I don't believe the developing edge is to PS anymore. Already at E3 fans are upset because Final Fantasy XI has been written for Xbox 360, but no plans are currently in store for PS3. MS has picked up an incredible amount of support.. look that one up for yourself, buddy


Also.. the HD content. M$ requires HD Content (720p, 1080i). Sony allows for 480i, 480p, etc.. Basically, all XBOX games have to be HD. The PS games don't. Tell-tale sign, my friend.

I'm not a "fanboy", but I do trust MS over Sony, no doubt.

I also think it was risky what Sony did with their controller.. especially after all the shit MS got into with their first version of the XBOX controller. Everyone liked their old style controllers...

It seems to me you dont have an understanding about electronics/cpus and such.

Dont look yourserlf blind at how many ghz this and that, only thing that matter is total teraflops available, and PS3 does 2 teraflops, and that is -almost- twice as much as the xbox360. And that is a fact.

And about the HD stuff you said, its simply not true. ps3 will be able to render up 1080 (progressive).

And fyi, 720 is only considered HD in the states. 1080 for japan, EU.

Seems to me you can't read. I never said ps3 couldn't do HD. Said it wasn't required... I even highlighted it.

Actually, the only thing that matters is how talented the game devlopers are And third party liscense involvement. (that's what kills most systems. :shurg: )

So you dont know about tech stuff, I dont know how to read. Guess were both idiots.

They're obviously both great systems, so after that, the only two things that matter are 1. selection of games and 2. controller.

PS has always had a TON of more games, and don't even get me started on how much i hate the Xbox controllers.

I guess i'll be gettin a PS3 when it comes out. Anyone know when that is?

I'm still pissed over the handling of the Final Fantasy and Resident Evil licensing by playstation/sony. I'm jaded enough to buy a system just for those 2 games.

I personally think that its not going to be about how many gigahertz the chips are running at... they are both going to have amazing graphics. So much so that the difference probably wont be so much between how the games look. What it really comes down to is features offered and the quality of games/which developer signs up with which console).

I'm pretty impressed... if they sell this for less than $500 I'd be tempted to buy one, h4xx0r it, and turn it into a desktop unit. It has pretty pimp hardware specs all around.

MGS4 is being made for PS3 so that's where I'll be.

Xbox would be my first choice since it's coming out first but I thiunk Sony will have the better system this time around. Again it will all come down to the games... I can't pass on Halo 3!
