a rack of paired dumbells going up in 2.5 pound increments from 5 to 150 lbs.
What do you think looks good in a room? From stylish chairs to lights. Even an aquarium or a big tv. Any suggestion?

I just turned my study into a roman library. I painted the walls light yellowish biege then sponged a watered down gold metallic over it. I replaced the light switch and cover to make it less obtrusive. Next I plan on changing the light fixture to an ancient stone type I found at Home Depot and putting crown molding around the room. My girlfriend is looking for a gold sash to hang through a lionshead curtain rod holder we found. We also installed vinyl tile that looks like marble.
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

No pictures but I don´t care about the rest of the house. Only the harem must look good.
If its a harem that you're looking for, go old persianOriginally Posted by Vieope

Hrmm, well obviously if you are going to want to have girls in there... you're going to need some kind of couch. Probably want to find a color that goes with something else in there. Possibly matching curtains, and paint one wall or something along those lines. I'd suggest nice and thick ones, so you can block out the light when you need to. What kind of art do you like? Its nice to have a few pieces up, but not so much as to be overwhelming. Some trendy lamps that you can set up strategically. Get dimmers
Definitely need some sort of carpet, or a rug if you want to go with hardwood floors/tile. The design of a rug would have to match the flooring beneath it of course. You cant throw an old Persian onto tiles that are cream colored and belong in a New Mexico ranch house. Some people try to cover the whole floor with it, but I'd suggest leaving a good amount of flooring exposed if you go with a rug and stick to the main area of the room, such as between the couches and entertainment center. Dont forget that any part of the rug thats not walked on frequently (such as underneath the couch) is more susceptible to moth damage.
Perhaps a high quality bean bag or two that matches your sofa/surrounding chairs. That'll give you a good excuse to relax on the floor, and they are kinda nice while chilling.
A nice entertainment center would be cool, but it shouldnt be too overwhelming. Definitely get something that can put out some good sound quality, and place speakers around the room.
If the rooms not too large perhaps you should skip something like a coffee table. But an end table could be nice to put some drinks on and what not. If you're going to be eating in there alot though you'll probably want a coffee table or something though, as it'll keep the mess down.
An aquarium could be nice, but do you want the maintenance?
Anyways, without pics I can only take some guesses. Good luck with your project.

Too much color could be trippy.

Cool thanks. See I already had forgot about dimmers and the carpet. I am not going for the coffee table but the place to lie down I wonder what I put, couch? only pillows over the carpet? Hmm..Originally Posted by Eggs
