I am sure that you all know Jeff (Musclebeach) from talking with him on these forums, and are probably fairly close. He is just that kinda kid, he makes you want to know him. I regret that I have to inform all of you that have gotten close to him. But Saturday night while on his way home from a friends of mine and his house, he was in an car accident.

The road that he was traveling down has a hill, and you can't really see anything on the other side of it. He saw headlights, but when they came over, they were in the middle of the road. Jeff swerved to the right to miss the car, and then served back to avoid a mailbox. He crossed the road into the trees on the left side of the road. I'll keep it short. But right now he is in the hospital. I was there all yesterday, along with about 70 friends and family of his.

The accident crushed his T9 and T10 vertebrae, and compressed his spinal cord. He can't feel anything below the waist. He had surgery to fuse the two vertebrae, and put to metal rods in there to support the spinal column. His spinal cord was not cut or severed, but did sustain a great amount of trauma. I believe that they are waiting until the swelling goes down to do more tests. By friday there are going to try and get him in a rehabilitation center. They are not sure is he will regain his legs, but all prayers would help.

I am sure that if all of you could drop him a line or two of encouragement and inspiration that he would appreciate it. I will print of everything that you guys write him and get it to him as soon as possible.

And keep him in your prayers.

I don't do the prayer thing, but definitely wish him the best. the fact that his cord was not svered is certainly positive news. Give it hell musclebeach and I am sure you will be alright.

No kidding. I was away on Military Duty at the time of this threads' original posting and I had no idea this had happened.
