    Extreme procrastinationess

I finished lunch and since I was supposed to go out only two hours later I decided to take a nap and ponder about life and cookies. So I close the curtains, every things becomes almost dark and then I put an cd of american country and french jazz, donīt judge me. Alright, the nap goes just fine but I canīt wake up. I do but I canīt move, I hear the music playing, I canīt exactly open my eyes but I see somehow the room in a slow motion vision. But I canīt move. I try and nothing happens.
I saw a mystical explanation once but what is the real motive for this? Really, I think I was trying to get up for almost 20 minutes, I thought I was dying. Weird thing is that I kinda liked the feeling.

I had that a few times when I was younger.. it's creepy. You can hear everything, but can't move.

I've heard about people having heart attacks from getting themselves so worked up during it. I haven't had it in maybe 15 years.

I found it amusing as hell. Because it lasted so long, I went back to sleep and tried to wake up five minutes later..

Who said I am not a busy person? I am able to connect to IM everywhere I go. I work very hard to pretend that I am busy.

    Not really..

In some cases, when hypnogogic hallucinations are present, people feel that someone is in the room with them, some experience the feeling that someone or something is sitting on their chest and they feel impending death and suffocation. That has been called the “Hag Phenomena” and has been happening to people over the centuries. These things cause people much anxiety and terror, but there is no physical harm.

ya im not joking, i am taking psychology class in school right now and we learned all about dreams, psychological disorders, insomnia, sleep paralysis, etc...

In your case, sleep paralysis is what you had if you woke up and could not move at all. That is because your "body" is still sleeping and it takes about 5 minutes to finally get up and move. It's pretty creepy because we saw some movies of people being videotaped sleeping and they wake up unable to move. They were moving their eyes back and forth really fast and had little trouble breathing as they were in a state of shock. The images they see is insane as there is always a creepy old lady sitting on top of you or choking you. Everytime i go to bed now, i always think about that lady before i sleep. I'm scared to experience one since i have been learning about it all week.

Happens to me sometimes, especially if my dogs bark in the middle of the night I try to get up to see what they are barking at but my legs feel like stone and then my soul slowly seeps from my body and I drift into the living room to look out of the window, everythings hazy and very surreal then bam my body catches up with me and I'm fully awake.
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

i've been unable to move when i woke up several times and it was scary but never lasted long. the 1st time it ever happened i was 16 and spent the night at a place and in the same room as where someone was shot and killed a few weeks before. i thought his ghost was holding me down.

Don't look back ~ You're not going that way!

I had a similar experience when I was 19, I had a waking dream that someone was kneeling on my chest--breathing was labored and I awoke w/ a shout that stayed in my throat. It sure felt like someone was holding me down. Scared the hell out of me.

    Damn aliens.
