what is it with the recent increase in the number of people that have signed up with the clear intentions of attacking current members or starting pointless threads?

Its the same person. They just need to ban his IP address. He said the first day that he'd keep signing up with new names and what not and that he had access to lotsa computers and what not. So its either a high schooler or a college kid who wants to talk shit and hide behind his computer... definitely a dumbass though. Nothing original after is first post, just the same old drivel.

It'd be nice if the mods kept their eye on the chap and did some banning though

it points to how insulated a lot of people are in america these days. when i was growing up, the world was outside, on the hills, in the gutter, breaking your teeth on the pavement, making ramps to jump stuff off of, etc., you know what i mean if your older than 25.
kids these days often grow up with a tv vcr dvd and high speed internet access in their rooms. they dont get real life experiences that are neccesary as a youth to help you grow and mature because they sit in the room trying to have a life on the internet, trying to express emotions and such. when i was a kid if you walked around acting like an asshole you ended up getting your ass beat sooner or later and usually learned from it. theres nothing like having someone you dont respect kick your ass for a growth experience.

so basically what im saying is everyone needs a good ass whoopin once in a while.

    Still Alive.

Yeh, thats about right. What youre really saying is that it'd be great if someone kicked this chumps teeth in. I agree.

Kids these days dont do much maturing, and its not too surprising, with so much of the crazy shit I see parents doing on the news these days.

    Thanks Rob!

Its fun to play around with him... but I think we can get carried away and then we start getting hostile with other members and what not. Thanks for helping clear up that situation.

you're right on, too. Some people should be banned from being parents.

anytime a thread is brought up about this topic, it makes you wonder how much different we as kids were when compared to today's kids. Funny, my daughter laughed when me and the new neighbour hopped on skateboards and started tooling around the block. I said this is what we did as kids. She finds it strange that I could waste a summer day playing frisbee or biking.

Sad thing is I don't think these are kids doing these things. I think they're adults between 22 and 32 who got called out and came back to retaliate under aliases.
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

The one most recently was a young college kid IMO. Partly because his inability to argue or even try to, the other part because he said he had access to thousands of computers. So more than likely somebody in school... and its difficult to believe that an adult would do it, as its easy as tracing their IP back to their company and report them to their admin. *poof* Internet priveledges gone for harassing people.

Your theory would hold true but it started and held strong over the weekend meaning someone who has no life outside of work so they spent all weekend harrassing, whereas any college student worth their tuition would have been too hungover to even attempt such a feat and the nerds would have been together having a LAN party, so that leaves your 9-5 weekender with nothing better to do.
